David’s Faith & Hope for Life Scholarship

The David Barns Scholarship will be awarded to a male and

female senior who represents academic excellence,

athletic prowess, and commitment to community. These

memorial $2500 scholarships are renewable for 3 years.

ELGA Credit Union Carmen Lee Wilber

Memorial Scholarship Program 2018 Students who are current members of ELGA Credit Union

are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Minimum GPA of

2.5, essay required to be considered for the( 4) $1000

scholarships to be awarded. Info in counseling and

deadline is March 29, 2018.

Lapeer County Community Foundation

Scholarships

More than 10 different scholarships are listed on the

Lapeer Community Foundation site

www.lapeercountycf.org . Students are to apply

online for the following: Daley Acres Agricultural

Memorial Scholarship, Jacob N. Johnson Memorial,

John Sak Memorial, P.E.O. Chapter DX Scholarship

(females only), Schiedegger Engineerin Scholarship,

Traver-Carter Scholarship, Ronald C. and Abi E.

Warner Scholarship. Different criteria apply to each

scholarship. Must apply online and most applications

are due by March 30, 2018.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship-Detroit

Section

Senior females pursuing an engineering degree are eligible

for this scholarship. Minimum GPA 3.0, essay required,

application available in counseling office. Deadline for

submission is March 31, 2018.

First Presbyterian Church of Lapeer

Scholarship

The First Presbyterian Church of Lapeer is

offering a $500 scholarship for a graduating

senior of Lapeer High School who has faced

challenges/hardships along the way to

graduation. Essay is required. Application is

available in counseling office and is due back to

counseling by April 1, 2018.

Marjorie L. Corey / Hadley Township Chamber of

Commerce Scholarship

Graduating seniors with a connection to Hadley Township

are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. Essay is

required. Community service is appreciated. Applications

are in the counseling office. Deadline is April 1st .

The Lapeer Knights of Columbus Council 1987

Scholarships

The Lapeer K of C Scholarships will be awarded to four

Lapeer County seniors who demonstrate financial need,

good citizenship, service, and effort to be academically

successful. Applications are available in counseling offices

and are due April 2, 2018.

Women’s National Farm and Garden Scholarship

Lapeer Wildflowers Branch, MI Division

This $500 scholarship for a Lapeer County student who

plans to study horticulture, agriculture or environmental

fields at a 2 or 4 year or technical school. Minimum GPA is

3.0. Application due to counseling April 20, 2018.

Lapeer County EMS Association Larry Peplinski

Memorial Scholarship Graduating seniors from Lapeer county must have a GPA

of 2.5 or better, be accepted to a college/ tech school,

transcript and test scores, submit essay, letter of

recommendation, are all required to be considered for this

$500 scholarship. Info in counseling office. Deadline is

April 30, 2018

The Leader Fund Scholarships:

The Leader Fund scholarships are generously

supported by our local partners and include the

following individual awards. Each scholarship

requires a minimum 3.0 GPA, acceptance to a

college, and demonstration of a high level of

character, academic integrity, and school or

community service. Transcripts, resume, essay,

and letters of recommendation are also required

for each scholarship. Applications are due

March 31, 2018, and are available in counseling

office.
