The CID Staff is Growing! The Buckhead Community Improvement District is thrilled to welcome its newest team member, Matt Gore! Matt joins the CID as projects and programs manager, and is already working hard to support the CID's mission to create and maintain a safe, accessible and livable urban environment here in Buckhead. Matt was attracted to the Buckhead CID because of the area's state-wide reputation as a hub for economic vitality and growth, and for its flexibility to support high-demand transformative mobility projects within metro Atlanta. He believes that with its multitude of destinations, including world-class shopping, excellent restaurants, state-of-the-art office spaces and more, Buckhead is uniquely positioned to be a trendsetter. As the CID's new projects and programs manager, he hopes to help solidify Buckhead as a premier CID in metro Atlanta. Matt has acquired an impressive resume in project management, always striving to transform areas into their best possible versions. Prior to joining the CID, Matt served as project manager for the Gateway85 Community Improvement District, managing projects and overseeing grant activities in the district. He also served as project controls coordinator for the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation. Matt attended the University of South Florida, where he earned a degree in political science and later earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia. "Revolutionary" Shuttle Vans Coming to

Buckhead

On September 25, The BuckheadCID board of directors approved anew shuttle system that will offerfree rides to commuters andresidents in the Buckheadcommunity!

The on-demand shuttle vans,accessible through an Uber-style app called Via, will offer free rides to passengerstraveling to central Buckhead businesses, along with multifamily residential andcommercial properties within the CID's boundaries - stretching from the BuckheadVillage to Piedmont Center, and across GA 400 to Lenox MARTA Station.

The service will launch in January 2020 and will feature four 12-passenger vans,and a fifth on standby if demand requires it. The shuttles will run up to eight hoursper day, including during the high-traffic lunch hour. This new service will replacethe existing "buc" bus, which currently serves limited routes to two MARTA stationsand two office complexes in the area.

This project was developed and will be managed by Livable Buckhead. The CID isthrilled to strengthen its partnership with Livable Buckhead to introduce this newshuttle system to the Buckhead community with the goal of reducing traffic flow inthe district. PATH400's newest section, opening this fall, willconnect the energy of south Buckhead with theelegance of the north. The multi-use trail linkstwo Buckhead shopping, working and dininghotspots - Miami Circle and the Lenox area. Thenew section of PATH 400 will also feature a newmural and creative signage along GA 400 thatdoes double-duty as a safety barricade and ahighly visible identifying mark for the trail.

To celebrate PATH400's newest section, LivableBuckhead will host Party on the PATH onSunday, October 20, from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Eclipse di Luna lot! Guests can enjoy anhour of cocktails while exploring PATH400 with an interactive scavenger hunt,followed by dinner and dancing featuring a live salsa band.
