LIGHTING OF THE ALTAR CANDLES WELCOME CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: Where shattered hearts are made whole. Where wounded souls are healed. Where life is stronger than death. People: There, the stone has been rolled away. Leader: Where the lonely become our friends. Where a stranger is welcomed home. Where hope is stronger than despair. People: There, we find Jesus walking. Leader: Where closed minds are opened. Where the anxious find serenity. Where love is stronger than hate. People: There Jesus is opening our eyes. Leader: The stone has been rolled away. Jesus is our companion on the journey. Our eyes are opened to the needs of others. All: Alleluia! Christ is risen! Alleluia? Christ is with us! INVOCATION *HYMN #215 “Come, Ye Faithful, Raise the Strain” *GREETING ONE ANOTHER WITH THE PEACE OF JESUS PRAYER OF CONFESSION Forgive us, God of Easter, for the times we have neglected the calling of our faith. Walk with us, so we can become companions to the lost. Welcome us, so we can include the hopeless. Love us, so we can share that love with everyone we meet on our journey, as we follow Jesus into life with you. Amen ASSURANCE OF PARDON SPECIAL MUSIC Harper Denhard
