Dear friends,

Trucks are bought to carry freight and transport construction and mining material and any uncertainty in economic

policy, interest rates and activity impacts commercial vehicles considerably. Commercial vehicle manufacturers are

having a rough time and we hope there is no more pain before any gain.

Despite all this, we at AMW Motors see a number of positives. We have been strong in products that cater to the

infrastructure sector, especially mining and construction and in the last few months have consolidated our position

theven more. This was amply demonstrated at the 11 IMME held recently at Kolkata. You will read more about this in

this issue.

I must mention that our efforts at innovation and adopting international manufacturing practices has won us awards

from “Manufacturing Today” – a premier magazine devoted to the sector and from CII, the national body that

represents Indian Industry. We have also extended our initiatives in after sales service with the introduction of a

“Route Locator”, which will help customers locate the nearest touch point from our 1500+ touch points across

the country.

It's tough to be optimistic when the industry is going through a bad phase, but we at AMW remain positive about the

future. The truck industry has always had to deal with cyclical downturns and we have demonstrated our ability to

grow despite odds. That, I believe, is largely due to our customers' faiths and continued support to our endeavor to

bring international standards to the Indian trucking industry.

It is a matter of great pride for AMW that it bagged

a prestigious order of ten tippers - 2523 TP (Rock Body) from Bhilai

Steel plant amidst stiff competition from other reputed Indian

companies, both in technical and commercial terms.

Bhilai Steel operates these tippers at JharanDalli mechanized mines

for iron ore transportation and till this purchase only six- wheel

tippers were used. Wth the introduction of AMW ten-wheel tippers

with Bogie suspension, ZF gear box and highly fuel efficient engine,

the entire working economics has undergone a dramatic change.

Arunodaya Coal Agency, one of the

leading transport, drilling and mining

contractors of Chhattisgarh comes

back to AMW every few months with

orders for new vehicles. In the last

eighteen months, Mr. Vinayak Sankhla,

proprietor, has placed orders for 29

AMW trucks. And they cover quite a

range of HCVs – from tractor-trailers,

to tippers to heavy-duty haulage

vehicles.

takes IMME by stormAMW Motors (AMW) showcased its tough mining muscle

that the 11 IMME (Indian Mining and Machinery Exhibition)

held Salt Lake Stadium Grounds, Salt Lake, Kolkata,

between December 5 and 8, 2012.

AMW was also one of the Principal Sponsors at the biennial exhibition organized by CII for

the mining and allied industries. AMW was among the biggest exhibitors at this prestigious

event with six tough and sturdy vehicles for the mining and construction sectors.

The exhibition had a large number of visitors,

including major mining companies and contractors

from the coal belt of the Eastern region.

Major NBFCs and financing companies were also

present offering a much-needed fillip to the industry.

This is an important occasion for us as we have been very

successful in our chosen product segments and are confident that

we will gain market shares as customer satisfaction has been one

of our biggest strengths. The infrastructure sector, especially

mining, is specially important for us and we are delighted to offer

more high performers to our customers in this sector.

The tough conditions have seen many

manufacturers come and go without a

permanent solution to the problems

encountered here.

AMW approached the problem first with a free

service camp, following it up with on site

technical and parts support. AMW dealer

Abhindra Motors opened a site office and an

AMW engineer visits the site every week, but

monitors performance of AMW vehicles on a

daily basis.

There are virtually no failures in AMW vehicles

and customers are increasingly opting for

AMW 25 tonne tippers over competition.

at the first “Manufacturing Today” awards function

held in Pune on November 23, 2012.

AMW received awards for the most useful

presentation and the most innovative Rain Water

Harvesting Project. The 10-member jury

recognized the success of AMW's rainwater

harvesting project in industrial use due to high

usage of Rain Water harvested for Process and

Domestic water and enabling zero discharge of

the precious resource. Yuvaraj Manickam,

Deven Adesara and Anubhav Apoorva

represented AMW.

in two categories at the CII National Award 2012 for

Excellence in Water Management function held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

AMW won the top awards for Excellence in

Technology Adoption (Large Enterprises) and

Excellence in HR (Large Enterprises) and was

also declared Runner-up in the category,

Excellence in Sustainability (Large Enterprises).
