Respiratory System

The following will be about the Respiratory System. The respiratory system is a system that lets you breathe. It starts

with the trachea then to the bronchus then to the bronchioles and ending at the alveoli.

Page 3: The Body System

Trachea

Trachea The windpipe linking

the throat to the lungs in the chest.

A water plant is like the trachea because the main part of a water plant and is where the start of all the water pipes.

Page 4: The Body System

Bronchus

The main air tubes in the lungs which divides further to the bronchioles.

The bronchus is like a huge sewer and water pipes that go to our school.

Page 5: The Body System

Bronchioles

Bronchioles The smallest and

thinnest tubes in the lungs.

Bronchioles are like tiny pipes that are in the school that go almost everywhere.

Alveoli

Alveoli

Microscopic air sacs at the end of the bronchioles.

Alveoli are like sinks, water fountains, and toilets. They are at the end of pipes.

The Digestive System

It lets you digests food in one day.It starts with the Mouth then to the Esophagus then to the

Stomach then to the Small Intestine then to the Large Intestine, and finishes at the Rectum. But we added some interesting parts to. Like the Liver and the Pancreas.

Mouth

It chews up the food using the teeth and it spits out saliva

The mouth is like an entrance. You enter the school like food enter the Digestive System.

Page 9: The Body System

Esophagus

Esophagus

The tube that links the mouth to the stomach lined with muscles.

The esophagus is like hallways because we go down hallways like food goes the esophagus

Page 10: The Body System

Stomach

• Stomach• Digests the food for

up to 6-7 hr. Has lots of stomach acid that break down the food slowly.

• The stomach is like a classroom. We stay in there most of the time.

Page 11: The Body System

Small intestine

• Vili absorbs all the nutrients from the “thing” (the waste). It also is about 30 feet long!

• The small intestine is like a duty. It takes the good kids outside and the bad inside like the vili absorbs all the nutrients from the “thing” and keeps the bad stuff going.

Page 12: The Body System

Large Intestine

The Large Intestine is connected from the small intestine to the rectum.

The large intestine is like detention. All the good stuff goes in the body and bad stuff keeps on going to detention

Page 13: The Body System

Rectum

• The Rectum is where all the waste comes out of.

• The Rectum is like the end of the school cross guard.

Page 14: The Body System

Liver

• The Liver is a chemical factory that creates chemicals.

• The Liver is like a cafeteria it makes food like the Liver makes the nutrients.

Page 15: The Body System

Pancreas

• The Pancreas is an organ that makes digestive juices.

• The Pancreas is like a lunch lady
