The Babylon-Persian 10 Nation Islamic Confederacy The Bible tells us a Babylon-Persian (Islamic) 10 nation confederacy will invade and attempt to destroy Israel in the end times. Babylon today is Iraq and Syria, and Persia is Iran. God tells us about this final future invasion of Israel in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, and also in Daniel and Revelation. There are actually two Islamic invasions of Israel in the end times. The second and final invasion will be at Jerusalem and is highlighted by the return of Christ. Ezekiel 38 (NIV)

3 ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.’


8 In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

Ezekiel 38 makes clear this first invasion will only occur after the Jewish remnant returns to Israel (in 1948), and they have prospered, and live in peace. Persia will lead this invasion, along with other Islamic countries such as Put, which is Libya today, and Cush which is the Arabian peninsula today. The Islamic Man of Lawlessness will lead this invasion. “Gog” the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal is the Islamic Man of Lawlessness, and the “northern nations” include Turkey, Iraq and Syria. Beth Togarmah is in modern Turkey today. In Ezekiel 39 God makes clear that Gog is killed and buried in the first invasion. In this first invasion the Islamic armies do not make their way to Jerusalem. With God's help they fall in the mountains of Israel before they can strike Jerusalem. Ezekiel 39 (NIV)

1 ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord.

11 "On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east of the Sea. It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog."

Satan (the dragon) first deceived by appearing as the "Angel Gabriel" to Mohammad in 610, and will deceive again when he appears as "Allah" to the world in the end times. The world will be astonished and will worship the dragon and the beast.


Gog is a Very Important Leader--But Dies Ezekiel 38 makes clear how important Gog is. Ezekiel 38 (NIV)

16 "In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes." 17 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "You are the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel. At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord."

Many of the Old Testament prophets spoke of the coming of this final satanic leader. In the Islamic world the prophesied Messiah is called the "Mahdi", or the 12th Imam. In the Islamic world the Mahdi has a higher status than Mohammad and is subordinate only to Allah. Islamic leaders expect the Mahdi to appear with a false Jesus at his side and kill all non-Muslims. When Gog--the Islamic Messiah--is killed by Israel in the first invasion, the Muslim world will seek a ultimate revenge. When the head of the beast reappears with the "fatal wound that was healed" as prophesied in Revelation 13: 3-4, a reincarnate "Super Gog" will take his place and will then appear to be Allah to the world and all Muslims. All will be astonished. Since no Muslim would ever worship a human, the satanic beast that is worshiped would have to appear as Allah as Satan deceives the world. No one will be able to make war with the beast. All Muslims will follow the command of Allah. We are also told in both Daniel and Revelation this final group is part of an eighth kingdom, reborn out of the first seven kingdoms and kings. Revelation 17 (NIV)

6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. 7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.


8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come. 9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. 10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while. 11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction. 12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

The “harlot woman” who was “drunk with the blood of God’s holy people” great city is Mecca that sits on seven mountains.

Revelation 13 Says the Beast Was Wounded and Killed or Nearly Killed. Revelation 13 (NIV)

One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.

Some use this passage to teach that the Antichrist ("Man of Lawlessness") will receive a physical wound to his head and die, but he will supernaturally be resurrected from the dead as a demonic resurrection to imitate the resurrection of Christ. Satan cannot resurrect, but he can deceive and can reincarnate himself as Allah to take the place of the killed Gog (the Mahdi.) But this passage has a dual meaning and "one of the heads" may also not mean the main leader. The second meaning was the Islamic defeat in France in 732. October 10, 732 AD marked the conclusion of the Battle of Tours, arguably one of the most decisive battles in all of history. Realistically, without winning this battle most of Europe and England would be Islamic. The Spanish missionaries to Central and South America, and Mexico would be Islamic, and North America would be Islamic. A Moslem army, in a crushing search for land and the end of Christianity, after the conquest of Syria, Egypt, and North Africa, began to invade Western Europe under the leadership of Abd-er Rahman, governor of Spain. Abd-er Rahman led an infantry of 60,000 to 400,000 soldiers across the Western Pyrenees and toward the Loire River, but they were met just outside the city of Tours by Charles Martel, known as the Hammer, and the Frankish Army. However, the French Army, composed of foot soldiers armed only with swords, shields, axes, javelins, and daggers, was well trained. Despite the effectiveness of the Moslem army in previous battles, the terrain caused them a disadvantage. Their strength lied within their cavalry, armed with large swords and lances, which along with their baggage mules, limited their mobility. The Islamic Empire lost power - but not its' life - after the First Jihad and was mortally wounded in the Battle of Tours. The Islamic Empire lost but maintained its' presence in the area. The transfer of Western wealth through arms sales and oil purchase eventually healed the mortal wound of the Islamic beast, financing the coming Second Jihad against Israel in the image of the First Jihad. Thus this passage has a dual meaning. The near destruction of Islam in 732 was the first, and the killing of Gog with Satan reincarnating himself as Allah to take his place is the second.


Daniel’s dream of the Fourth Kingdom In the book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a statue with four parts, and Daniel had a dream of four different animals. In each dream the fourth and final kingdom replaces the first three, and is built out of the first three. The first empire was Babylon, and was the gold head in Nebuchadnezzar’s statue dream and the lion in Daniel’s dream. The second empire is Persia, shown as silver in the statue and a bear in Daniel's dream. The third empire was the Seleucid Greeks, shown as Brass in the statue and a leopard in Daniel’s dream. In both cases the fourth kingdom is made of 10 nations. Daniel 7 (NIV)

2 Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea. 4 “The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.


5 “And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’ 6 “After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule. 7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. 8 “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

In Revelation, John had a similar image of the fourth kingdom, comprised of the first three animals and also containing 10 nations. Revelation 13 (NIV)

1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

In Revelation 13 John announced the appearance of the beast and his kingdom. In Revelation 13:4, John asks the questions, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Later, in the same prophetic book, we read where the beast and his ten kings destroy a large city (Mecca) in one hour (Revelation 18:10, 17, 19). This powerful blast produces a smoke that creates fear in the hearts of those who are standing “afar off,” observing the destruction (vv. 9–10, 18,). Within one hour these ten kings will give their kingdoms (nations) over to the beast (Revelation 17:12).


The weapons (? nuclear) left behind by the Islamic army will be used for fuel for seven years by Israel. The typical useful life of a nuclear fuel rod is about seven years. Ezekiel 39 (NIV)

7 ‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.’ 9 ‘Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign Lord.’



Daniel 7 (NIV)

19 “Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom. 23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.

"He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws" means the leader will blaspheme Christ and impose Islamic Sharia Law and the Islamic Calendar. This is first Gog (the Mahdi) until he is killed, and then Satan reincarnates himself as Allah and is worshiped. When Daniel says this kingdom is different he means it is not a single nation but rather a movement that does not recognize any boundaries. Daniel also tells us the fourth kingdom is a divided kingdom. Islam is divided between Shia and Sunni groups. Persia is a Shia Islam country, and Shia Islam is taking over in Syria and Iraq.


We hear much about ISIS in the news today, but ISIS is Sunni and will be replaced by Shia groups linked to Iran such as Hezbollah in Iraq and Syria. Licensed from Reuters


In the dream Daniel says the statue will be destroyed by a large stone mountain thrown by God from heaven. Daniel tells us the fourth kingdom is only destroyed by the return of Christ. No man or government can destroy it. John tells us in Revelation 17 that the 10 nation confederacy will destroy the great harlot Islamic city that sits on 7 mountains, which is Mecca. The United States helped to accidently create this empire. Babylon was created out of Syria and Iraq partially because of the destruction of Iraq from the 2003 United States invasion. Today we see Babylon being reformed out of Shiite Islamic armies in Iraq and Syria. We strengthened Persia despite clear warnings from Israel. The United States ignored the advice from Israel. Persia has gained much strength through nuclear weapon negotiations with the United States. America unfroze $150 billion of assets for Iran, and allowed Iran to use these funds for dangerous weapon programs.

It is likely that the attack will involve nuclear weapons. God tells us in Ezekiel 39 after the invading army is destroyed, Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel. For seven years they will use them for fuel. They will not need to gather wood from the fields because they will use the Islamic weapons for fuel. An important note to make, is that Israel is all alone in this conflict. The U.S., apparently, is watching from the sidelines, but not coming to Israel's aid. At some point before this war, Israel will have lost all her allies and only God will come to her rescue. The Muslim leader of the 10 nation Islamic Confederacy is the man of lawlessness described by Paul in second Thessalonians. The Holy Spirit is holding him back today. He is likely to be a Muslim that comes from territory of the old Roman Empire. This person being held back is very similar to the Shia Islam belief of the 12th Imam, also called the Mahdi. The 12th Imam, with the name Mohammad Ibn Hasan, was born in the year 868 AD, later disappeared in the desert and is being held by some force. Today all Shia Muslims await his return. In fact the oath of office for the 12th Imam is article 5 of the current Iranian Islamic constitution. Daniel also tells us he will make a false peace treaty with Israel.



The Man of Lawlessness 2nd Thessalonians 2 (NIV)

1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

It is true that no Muslim human would proclaim to be God. So at this point the final leader will demonically appear to be "Allah" so that Muslims will see him as God, although it is actually Satan. Gog is killed but seems to come back to life in some spiritual form. If Muslims believe him to be Allah they seem unstoppable.



5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a threat and an opportunity for the Islamic Republic of Iran. ISIS (Sunni) has a vehement enmity toward the Shia, perhaps more so than any other Sunni jihadi group. The Iranian government—the primary champion of the world’s Shia and an obstacle to Sunni jihadi ascendancy in the Middle East—is one of ISIS’s biggest enemies. The ISIS conquest of nearly one-third of Iraq and its ability to threaten Baghdad pose a direct threat to Iranian interests. The reason why the rise of the Shia militias is of greater import is because it has long-term implications for the political future of Iraq – or at least the section of Iraq that is controlled by the Baghdad authorities. The Iraq Shia militias are political as well as military organizations. They may number more than 130,000 in Iraq and Syria today. Following Iranian regional strategy, they convert military power into political power. As such, current events in Iraq offer an example and a warning regarding Iranian intentions and strategies vis-à-vis the Middle East. In the current situation, with Iran having now obtained access to monies formerly frozen within the framework of sanctions, understanding the nature of Iranian practice is a matter of urgent importance for the formulation of rational western policy. The Shia Islamic groups in Iraq and Syria emerged much stronger after the 2003 toppling of Saddam Hussein. They are aligned with Persia are focused on the post-ISIS period as well as on the present, and are laying the foundations for a reshaped national power balance in which they and their parties would gain greater influence.
