In 1987 the first production and salesof an own AVK surface box made ofpolyurethane started in a very smallfactory in Emst near Vaassen.

SMHM S.A.

SMHM (Société Métallurgique Haut Marnaise) joined tha AVK group in thelate 1998, in order to have production close to the french market, and tostrenghten the AVK product package in France, the Middle East and northern Africa.

SMHM dates back to 1856 and was based on a foundry and productionof equipment to the water supply. Today the product range covers valvesfor mainline and service connection, hydrants, couplings and flange adaptors, air- and floatvalves and accessories.

SMHM is located near Champagne, and employ 42 people.
