Accessories

The BoxLED® Plus DS The BoxLED Plus DS modules feature a best-in-class click-and-play mounting system reducing the amount of labor required to install the modules in both new construction or retrofit sign applications. No measuring is required when snapping the modules into the mounting track as the track cutouts are spaced 2 inches (50 mm) apart; just count and snap modules in place. The mounting brackets slide over the ends of the track and then snap into the cutouts of the track attached vertically to the inside of the box or pylon sign. Click-and-play!

Background:When Ford Field, home to the National Football League (NFL) Detroit Lions, trade shows, concerts, and conventions, needed a sign upgrade for their 10-year anniversary to replace the neon sign that was having serious problems, they turned to OSRAM SYLVANIA and their LED Border Flex solution. The current sign was suffering from frequent outages thereby reducing visual appeal and leading to significant maintenance costs due to the sign’s location.

Ford Field installed 450 feet of blue SYLVANIA LED Border Flex to illuminate the signature sign significantly reducing their energy consumption and maintenance costs.

Savings & Benefits:Annual maintenance cost savings - $18,000

LED Border Flex energy consumption – 720 kWh versus previous neon consumption – 3,780 kWh
