Day 6 - Sorrento Morning at leisure for some shopping at boutiquesalong the main street and the small "vicoli" of Sorrento. Lunch on yourown. In the afternoon, depart to the Farm House of Galatea. AgriturismoGalatea is mainly an agricultural farm, established over four generations.Using traditional and biological methods where they cultivate naturaland typical products such as Sorrento lemons, on the typicalSorrentinian terraces. Overnight at the hotel. (B)Day 7 - Sorrento - Optional tour to Salerno and Paestum Full dayat leisure or take an optional tour to Salerno and Paestum. This optionaltour will be to the lively port town of Salerno. During medieval times thetown’s medical school was among the most advanced. In recent history,Salerno was the site of the Allied landing in September 1942. Continueto Paestum, one of the best collections of Greek temples in WesternEurope, and see the 2000 year old Doric Temples. Along the way we stop and tour Pompeii. No visit tosouthern Italy would be complete without a visit to the unique ruins ofPompeii. Explore the ancient city covered by volcanic dust from MtVesuvius in AD 79, and see the excavated remains of the Forum, thermalbaths, Lupanare and Vetti's House.
