What a fabulous seminar we had this month. Jillybean is an outstanding teacher. Her classes were so relaxed and enjoyable. Absolutely no stress!!! Jillybean showed us many new techniques and the glass painting was a huge success. Palm Coast did a terrific job hosting this event. The facility was large and clean and well lit. The food provided for both days was deli- cious and plentiful. We had breakfast items on both days. The variety was amazing. It was the same with the lunches. There was something for everyone. Noreen from Palm Coast did an excellent job setting up the food tables as well as making sure everything was replenished throughout the event. Thank you, Noreen, our hats off to you. Palm Coast, you did a superb job. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you.. There has been a change of venue for the July workshop. This class will be a pencil class taught by Alise. It is a Blue Pitcher and Daisies. Please check out our web site or facebook for more inormation. You can also get in touch with Joanne Tibbils. We are collecting hand made items for the auction. You can bring your items to any workshop or give me a call at (386) 479- 7988 and I will be happy to pick them up. Please remember to get gift cards for our tree. Our auction will only be successful with everyone’s help. Volunteers are essential. Tickets for the raffle of the quilt and the tree(s) are now available. Auction Update
Things are moving along. The auctions are successful only because of all of our members making or paint-ing the wonderful auction items that we see every year. We now have 34 items. If you have any fin-ished by the July meeting, please bring them. It’s all of you ladies that make the auction what it is, and make it possible to have all the extras we’ve been en-joying this year. I personally love getting a free paint-ing gift at every class and free lunches. As long as the auctions are successful, the club will continue to give back to all the members. Best of all, we’re giv-ing more to various charities and that’s something we can take pride in.

Duties of Officers
1. President—The President shall preside at all meetings of the members, Board of Directors and Executive Committee; shall coor-dinate activities of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee; shall be an ex-officio member of all committees except the Nominating and Awards Committees; and shall perform such other duties as the Board of Directors may assign or which generally pertain to this office.
2. 1st Vice President—The 1st Vice President shall act in the absence of the President; shall
perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors; and shall succeed to the office of President at the conclusion of the President’s term of office or in the event of a vacancy in that office.
2nd Vice President: shall act as Membership Committee.
3. Recording Secretary—The Recording Secre-tary shall record minutes of business meetings of the general membership, Executive Committee, and the Board of Directors. .
4. Treasurer—The Treasurer shall review all financial, shall report to the Board of Directors at regular meetings; shall review financial re-cords annually; and shall submit a written re-port to the membership at the Annual Meeting. If you are willing to perform one of these duties, please notify a member of the commit-tee.

If you have a month you would prefer to teach, please note this on the submission sheet. The months of October (Auction) and December (Christmas Party) are not available.
The class fee for a member is $15.00 of which SDP will pay $10.00 per student to the teacher. The maximum student count is 30 unless the teacher specifies less. Whole day workshops are from 9:00 am (following business meeting) until 4:00 pm with a break for coffee after the meeting, lunch and an afternoon break. If needed the teacher can continue until 5 P.M... The teacher will supply each student with a line drawing and prep instructions and a one time color photo of the project prior to the class and detailed instructions on the day of the class. If this is not an original design, the teacher must indi-cate the artist's name and the source of the design on the instruction sheet. It is the teacher's responsi-bility to obtain permission in writing when using another artist's design. The teacher absorbs the cost of copy services. If a special surface has to be ordered for the project, this amount will be indicated in advance. If using discontinued colors please list a substitute for that color in your instructions. SDP letterhead will be supplied to the teacher in order to request paint from a distributor. If paint is not supplied by a distributor the members will bring their own paint and the chapter will supply a set for class use.
Submissions must be handed in no later than our September 2015 meeting. Send or give to Joanne Tib-bils in an envelope with this form filled out, plus photo{s} of proposed project {s].
You will be notified in November, 2015 if your project has been picked.

Auction Update Fifteen ladies attended the Auction Get-together. What a great bunch of friends. We had several suggestions, mostly on what to add to the auction, such as more door prizes, and comments about some changes which will be made. Basically, most are happy with the auction as is. The secret project was making Zentangle gift cards to sell at the auction, which everyone enjoyed. Mary Sue gave a watercolor demo. Any member who was not present is most welcome to join in and find out how to do this. e-mail me ( [email protected] ) if there’s any interest, and we will give a five minute demo at the May meeting/class. It actually doesn’t take any longer than five minutes to explain. Please continue to work on items for the auction. It’s like our club has new life and it’s so exciting to see. We have new ladies who are so enthusiastic, offering new ideas and signing up for various jobs. Some ladies are going to use points and get a gift card rather than try so-liciting. I’m one of them.
