OUR PROCESS
Impact capital includes alternative sources of
revenue to fund organizational missions.
Enterprising activities that generate profit or
alternative investments that provide growth
potential are just two examples of impact capital.
Learn more about how impact capital can elevate
your mission at 20degs.com.
We help nonprofits and social enterprises add
complementary revenue streams to their income.
After our free initial consultation and estimate, 20° will
test and optimize your revenue model to help
accelerate philanthropy and unlock new, predictable
revenue through entrepreneurial activities and
additional forms of investment.
WHAT ISIMPACT CAPITAL?
WHAT WE OFFER
Before your organization
pursues new revenue, you’ll
need a comprehensive
understanding of your current
position. 20° will analyze your
business model across seven
key domains. Our
investor-grade readiness
assessment identifies areas
to address in pursuit of
earned revenue creation and
marketing your mission to
impact investors.
READINESS ASSESSMENT
When you make the
enterprising decision to
pursue impact capital, you’ll
need stakeholder alignment
and new ways of thinking.
That’s why 20° developed a
specialized training for staff,
boards, and CEOs—to
prepare each stakeholder
for catalytic change.
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
Building off the results of your
readiness assessment, 20°
will research and model the
optimal capital streams for
your organization. This
underpins our development of
your new, state-of-the-art
impact capital strategy and
revenue model.
STRATEGY CREATION
As you implement your new
20° impact capital strategy
and revenue model, 20°
will be there to support
your team with successful
management of your new
revenue stream.
NAVIGATION & IMPLEMENTATION
Fundraising is complex. Often, it’s unpredictable.
20° helps social innovators achieve organizational goals
for growth and stability.
By building readiness and creating bridges to capital, 20°
acts as a catalyst to generate and diversify
your income.
THE 20ºDIFFERENCE
BUILDING CAPACITYFOR SOCIAL INNOVATION
We work with organizations who are ready to think differently but who are not yet in acute financial crisis.
Working across all types of organizational issues and budget sizes, we look for nonprofit and social
enterprises who are ready to tackle their budget challenges. If your organization’s current revenue mix
doesn’t match your long-range plan, a 20° Impact Capital Strategy and Blended Revenue Model may be just
what you’re looking for.
Twenty degrees is the perfect angle a rock needs to hit the water in order to skip the furthest. This
encompasses the 20° vision for how to unlock impact capital. A skipping rock defies expectations. Despite
the challenge of gravity, with the right method the rock soars to its potential. Likewise, 20° helps
organizations reach their potential, too.

FAQS
CASE STUDYWhen GlobeMed, a Chicago-based global health equity nonprofit, lost its largest government grant and
primary source of funding, they contracted 20° to create a new revenue model. 20° delivered a
three-tiered response over a six-month engagement. First, we conducted our signature 20° Revenue Readiness Assessment. This helped GlobeMed identify its readiness to capture and grow new revenue and
its priorities/steps to increase success. 20° provided individualized coaching/training on fundraising and
managing new revenue streams, and we created a new 20° Impact Capital Strategy and Blended Revenue Model that incorporated both philanthropic and earned income streams. GlobeMed’s revenue has now
stabilized, and the firm is on a pathway to risk-adjusted and sustainable growth. Following our engagement, in
the first quarter GlobeMed’s earned income doubled from the prior year and remains set to surpass its FY budget.
