  • Student Directions! 1. Shuffle the 32 cards. Deal 5 cards to each player. Go Fish is best if

    you use 3 5 players.

    2. Place the remaining cards face-down in the center forming the draw

    deck.

    3. Start with the dealer. Ask any player for a card you would like to

match with a current card in your hand. If you have 1/2, you may ask

any person for the equivalent fraction of to complete your pair.

    4. Lay the matching pair down.

    5. If the player does not have the card you asked for, they will say "Go

Darth!" and you draw a new card from the draw deck.

    6. Continue playing clockwise to the next player.

    7. Continue playing until there are no cards left in the draw deck.

    8. Complete the game by continuing play as normal, but without the

draw deck, until all possible pairs have been matched.

  • Directions for a Variety of

    Various Student Led Center Games

Glue the cover sheet onto a large manila envelope and place one page inside as a board game and cut the other page into separate cards. Place the student directions inside or glue onto the back of the envelope. Laminate entire thing if desired.

One way to play this center game is to have the students match the cards to the board game.

Tape the cover sheet inside a gallon Zip Lock baggie. Place one page inside as a board game and cut the other page into separate cards. Place the student directions inside. Laminate cards and board if desired.

Print the cover sheet onto a preprinted, colorful piece of paper and then glue it on top of a file folder. Staple or glue the sides together. Cut both pages of the cards and store them inside the folder. Place the student directions inside or glue onto the back of the folder.

  • Glue the cover sheet onto a student pocket-only folder. Place one page inside as a board game and cut the other page into separate cards. Place the student directions inside or glue onto the back of the folder. Laminate entire thing if desired.

Another way to play with the center game is to cut both pages of the game apart and use it like Match Game, matching the two pieces together.

By placing different stickers on the back of the center game cards, students can even use it to self-check to see if they are correct!

Close up of the back of two cards that are correctly matched.

I hope you and your students enjoy my games. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions about my center games. Sincerely, Fern Smith [email protected]
