Welcome to Harmony for Peace, a concert of creative music conveying harmony and peace. World-renowned

musician, Guru T.S. Krishnamurthy conceptualized, choreographed and directed this creative program. Today, musicians

from India and the United States come together to support a social cause: building bridges between communities. The

concert features vocalists, violinists, percussionists (drums, rhythm pads, mridangam, table), bass and rhythm guitars,

keyboard, and flute.

Harmony for Peace combines classic Karnatak music, Bollywood, fusin, bhajans, and patriotic songs. You are

invited to join in the singing, help express the rhythms, and share the blissful experience of eternal music. As a reflection

of self, music uplifts and elevates consciousness. Feel your heart and mind heal through the experience of different

composers’ melodies and music.

Harmony for Peace is a fundraiser for Eanble, a nonprofit providing services that make it possible for people

with disabilities and seniors in New Jersey to stay in their own homes – not institutions.

Emcee Trisha Mukhopadhyay

A prominent figure in media, hosting, anchoring, and on her global talk show, Trisha proudly hosts cultural, award and fundraising functions in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her charm and gracious introductions provide smooth transitions that deliver amazement, laughter and motivation as part of a memorable and interactive experience. Raised in a military family, Trisha travelled throughout India, experienced many diverse cultures, and made countless friends from different backgrounds.

Recent accomplishments include: receiving the National Best All Rounder Student award from India’s prime minister in 1989, speaking nationally and internationally for Bharat Scouts & Guides in the presence of the seventh president of India and other notable delegates, and coordinating and anchoring the IFMP Annual Gala at the Asian American Heritage Festival.

Guru Vid. T.S. Krishnamurthy

Violinist Vidwan T.S. Krishnamurthy (TSK) is a world-renowned classical solo violinist and an exemplary accompanying violinist. He is famous for his electrifying stage performances and meticulously delivered emotional expression.

Founder of the TSK School of Music in Bangalore and the United States, TSK trained many leading performing artists. He conceptualized, composed and directed multi-violin symphonies and ensembles including Nadavarshini, Metrozone Symphony, Thirthankara Divya Darshana, and Haridasa Ganamruta.

TSK received awards and accolades from U.S. and Indian organizations throughout his 35-year career, including the Tri-cities Indian Association, Washington; Kasturi Cultural Society, Cleveland; Mayor of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Saptami Foundation, Dallas; Mallige Kannada Association of North Texas. Named “Best Violinist” at the Bangalore Gayana Samaja, Abhiruchi, and Karnataka Ganakala Parishath, TSK was recognized for his extensive contributions by the Mysore Dusshera Festival; Ayyanar College of Music, Bangalore; and the Srirangapatna Tyagaraja Aradhana Trust.

An engineer by profession, TSK is collaborating with universities to develop an online self-guided educational tool and program for learning music. Universities engage TSK to establish music department curricula, and create and proctor music exams.

Performers

Krishna Sridharan is an Indian musician, recording artist and stage performer. Born and raised in Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu, India, he began studying South Indian classical music at the age of 10. He was a top contestant on thefamous reality show, Airtel Super Singer. Krishna has beenhonored and privileged to perform around the world. Heworks with many prominent Indian music directors.

Vidwan T.S. Chandrashekar is one of the most senior masters in India of the mridangam, an ancient Indian percussion instrument. For the past 45 years, he has performed worldwide, accompanying classical music leaders. A graded All India Radio (AIR) Artist, his performances are routinely aired on Indian National television. TSC has taught music for over four decades. TSC has received numerous awards and accolades for services rendered to the arts.

Harini Vasudevan was a finalist in Zee TV’s 2008 “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” singing talent show hunt. She studied classical music with Pt. Madhav Bhatki and Smt. Jaya Krishnan and now receives advanced training from, and performs, with Guru T. S. Krishnamurthy. Harini’s voice is featured on music albums and short films. She routinely performs cinema music throughout India. A scientist by profession, Harini is studying the classical Indian dance form, bharathnatyam.

Performers

Vocalist Lavanya Krishnamurthy was a child prodigy who auditioned for the All India Radio and the Indian National TV channel (Doordarshan) at a very young age. T.S. Krishnamurthy’s daughter, she is a senior student of Dr. T.S. Satyavathi. Lavanya holds an MA degree in music from Bangalore University. Lavanya received many awards for her golden voice including recognition from the Indian government and the University of Bangalore. She has performed in India and at prestigious international events.

Suresh Ramachandran has performed with some of India’s top singers. A latecomer to the world of music, he is passionate about his art. Suresh performs and records in multiple languages.

About one in five Americans lives with a disability; over one in ten live with a severe disability. Enable meets its constituents’ needs through residential services, day programs, and in home care, assisting them to sustain healthy, independent lives in an environment that provides dignity, respect, and personal fulfillment.
