This makes me the longest serving Chair in the University to date! I have built a very strong bridge between my experience in academia as well as the corporate sector over the last 15 years of work experience in various organizations in Pakistan and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both, as an academic/trainer and manager/consultant. My expertise and specialism ranges from developing, implementing and reviewing strategic plans including brand management and marketing strategies as well as 360 o integrated marketing communication campaigns (ATL, BTL and TTL) to corporate trainings, quality assurance and accreditations. My quick rational decision making skills and professional dedication to the tasks-at-hand are the main catalysts for my successful rapid career growth over the last 15 years of work experience. Changing my major from finance/accountancy while working at Deloitte Pakistan and falling in love with marketing made me complete an MBA and further a Doctorate in the field. Moving to Saudi Arabia in 2003 with the bare minimum to meet ends and discovering my potential to grow and be self-sufficient through my hard work, professionalism and sheer dedication moved my career steadily from a mere small training institute; MITM to KAAU (Industrial Engineering Department) to CBA (now UBT) to DNA (Market Research /Advertising) and further to Effat University as a major decision maker in this locally and internationally acclaimed institution. I developed a CRM of my own comprising of individuals from all walks of life and industry locally as well as internationally over the past 15 years, both through joint work collaborations, consultancies, trainings or just acquaintances. Since 2010, I have been working for Effat University, at the Effat

College of Business; 7 months as an Assistant Professor of Marketing

and from the 8th month of joining, I got promoted to the Chair of

Marketing position and have been serving in this position for the last

7 years, keeping in mind that officially the Chair position is for Saudi

Nationals and each chair has a tenure of 2 years extendable to 1 year

further. This makes me the longest serving Chair in the University to

date!

I have built a very strong bridge between my experience in academia

as well as the corporate sector over the last 15 years of work experience

in various organizations in Pakistan and in the Kingdom of Saudi

Arabia, both, as an academic/trainer and manager/consultant.

My expertise and specialism ranges from developing, implementing and reviewing strategic plans including

brand management and marketing strategies as well as 360o integrated marketing communication

campaigns (ATL, BTL and TTL) to corporate trainings, quality assurance and accreditations.

My quick rational decision making skills and professional dedication to the tasks-at-hand are the main

catalysts for my successful rapid career growth over the last 15 years of work experience. Changing my

major from finance/accountancy while working at Deloitte Pakistan and falling in love with marketing

made me complete an MBA and further a Doctorate in the field. Moving to Saudi Arabia in 2003 with the

bare minimum to meet ends and discovering my potential to grow and be self-sufficient through my hard

work, professionalism and sheer dedication moved my career steadily from a mere small training institute;

MITM to KAAU (Industrial Engineering Department) to CBA (now UBT) to DNA (Market Research

/Advertising) and further to Effat University as a major decision maker in this locally and internationally

acclaimed institution. I developed a CRM of my own comprising of individuals from all walks of life and

industry locally as well as internationally over the past 15 years, both through joint work collaborations,

consultancies, trainings or just acquaintances.

During the past 15 years of work, I worked with a number of major impressive clients including many local

and international universities (KAAU, KFUPM, Effat University, AOU, University of Leicester, University

of Worcester, Athabasca University, George Washington University and Georgetown University) as well

as corporations (Mobily Etisalat, UNHCR, ISDB, AFS, Benchmark Events, Horizon FCB, Impact BBDO,

Telmesani Consultants, KAUST, Ipsos, Jeddah United, Alshaya, KOJ, Binzagr and JDURC). I have

successfully made the marketing program at Effat College of Business, the ONLY marketing program in

the world having ALL marketing major courses “service learning courses” by including hands-on applied

projects by collaborating with local and international companies (Maserati, Mazaya Marketing, L’Oréal,

Unilever, Binzagr, Facebook, Manar Alrawi and Chalhoub Group).

Some of my major achievements include successfully implementing the Haramain Highway Megastructure

boards through Telmesani Consultants in collaboration with Google Earth in 2006, successfully setting up

a complete advertising agency for DNA with a SR.10m/year client (AlRaya Supermarket) while rebranding

the Alraya Concept in 2010. Successfully rebranding and restructuring the Fuddruckers brand for AFS

(Saleh Naghi Group) in 2016 and rebranding the AFS corporate image as well as the AFS retail business to

at Effat University to represent Saudi Arabia at Unilever Quest MENA at Egypt and winning, L’Oréal at

Dubai and Paris and winning, Facebook P2P challenge and being the only team from GCC1.

I am the proud winner of many awards including Effat University Best Practice Award for Fall 2017 and

Spring 2018, Queen Effat Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching 2015-2016 (5 years nominee),

Queen Effat Award for Excellence in Community Service 2015-2016 (5 years nominee) and Highest Scorer

in the World for SAP_TERP_10_66 ERP certification Examination (98%).

I am the only Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) UK in the Kingdom of Saudi

Arabia, which is the highest level accredited chartered body globally in the field of marketing. CIM is the

only Chartered body for marketers all over the globe with 7,537 international members with 419 of them

being Fellows of the institute since its inception in the year 1911 (more than a century ago). In addition to

this, there are currently only 2 Chartered Marketers in the Kingdom and I will be the 3rd Chartered Marketer

upon completion of my CPD and Level-7 PGD in Professional Marketing which is under process and will

be completed this year. Apart from the FCIM designation, I am also a registered CIM global mentor.

Further, I possess a Doctorate in Business Administration in Marketing, a Master of Business

Administration bi-major in Marketing and Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Commerce.

I am SAP certified in ERP TERP_10_66 and a Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows Advance

Server 2000. I am a Certified Financial Consultant and have passed intermediate levels from the Association

of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

My major strengths apart from quick rational decision making are adaptability and flexibility, whereas in

my opinion patience, enthusiasm and imagination are my weaknesses.

Honesty, enthusiasm, hard work, confidence and perseverance are the core values and pillars of whatever I

do. As mentioned earlier, my love for marketing moved me to this field and my ability to take positive

quick rational decisions made me what I am today. I strongly believe that one should do what they love to

do and once they feel that their job is done then they should move on and find new challenges to accomplish!
