European Congressof Internal MedicineConnecting with the patient

Page 2: th 2 - 3 September

Dear Colleague,

We hereby invite you cordially to the 15th European Congress of Internal Medicine in Amsterdam on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2016. The congress will be innovative in many ways; in inspiring talks

by world-famous speakers you will be challenged to reconsider the way

you will practice medicine in the future and the progress that awaits

you and your future patients.

The congress will offer plenty of attractive opportunities for learning,

sharing and networking in the field of internal medicine.

This will be a great opportunity to meet internists from all over Europe

and beyond, and share the experience of internal medicine which is the

cornerstone of every national health care system.

Amsterdam has always been a fascinating city open for new ideas and

looking beyond its borders. A city with some of the most impressive

art museums in the world, elegant canals and beautiful mansions.

Amsterdam is one of the world’s best connected cities, being easily

reachable by several modes of transport and located centrally in Europe.

The main objective of EFIM is to enable European internists to provide

better care for all patients across Europe. While the scientific elements

of internal medicine continue to advance, the delivery of high-quality

healthcare is fundamentally a humane process; therefore, the theme of

the 15th EFIM congress will be “Connecting with the patient”.

We are looking forward to meet you in Amsterdam.

On behalf of the local organizing committee Prof. Dr. Mark H.H. KRAMER, FRCP, FACP

On behalf of the EFIM executive committee Dr. Frank H. BOSCH, FACP, FRCP
