Country meets CityThis project focuses on the combining of soft natural textures found in New Zealand’s landscapes with the hard harshness of the city of Dublin and London.

My fabrics have been inspired by bright, light reflective road markings, with colourful shop fronts and graffiti. Whilst influenced by New Zealand’s rustic colours and rugged landscape found on my visit to its winter season. To repro-duce the cities visual appearance, its brightness of colour and reflective qualities of the urban signage I have used light reflective yarn, viscose and lurex for their glossy quality. Whilst using natural yarns such as silk, wool, cotton and un-bleached Linen to symbolise New Zealand’s textures.
