EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: US Government Accountability Office (GAO) 2001 - Present Managing Director, Knowledge Services, Chief Agency Privacy Officer Direct a diverse, multi-million dollar portfolio of agency-wide programs ranging from privacy policy

and compliance and information governance to agency publications and general operational support services. Responsibilities include policy, strategic planning, and budget and operational oversight.

Stakeholder, information management performance reviews conducted by GAO’s IT audit team Phased-out GAO’s internal printing plant, realizing agency savings of $600,000. Facilitated GAO’s transition to electronic dissemination of GAO products: realized annual savings ~

$400,000. Developed and implemented a joint sales agreement with GPO that resulted in ~$350,000 in annual

savings to GAO. Reduced staff/contract support by ~28% and operational budget by 25%, while improving production

efficiency and enhancing level of information management services Eased compliance burden on agency staff by simplifying GAO’s records retention schedules.

Leveraged GAO’s document management system to implement an agency-wide electronic records management system.

Enhanced usability of GAO web site through implementation of corporate taxonomy/categorization tools to enhance accessibility and reusability and a governance structure to support the use and appropriate management of new media, including YouTube, Twitter, and iTunes. The enhanced site has realized significantly higher ASCI customer satisfaction scores.

US Department of Commerce, Director, Office of Administrative Operations 1998 – 2001 Responsible for policy, oversight, and strategic planning for headquarters administrative operations

programs, with an annual operating budget in excess of $9.6 million. Operational areas included accountable property, publications, reprographics, mail and special delivery services, fleet management, photocopy management, and conference and audio visual support services.

Departmental liaison with the Joint Committee on Printing (JCP), the Government Printing Office (GPO) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on printing/publishing matters.

Oversaw reference and research services (traditional and electronic) for Department Headquarters (Herbert C. Hoover Building) and the USA Trade Center.

Initiated an in-depth examination of present working capital fund (WCF) charge back assumptions and proposed preliminary suggestions for revising the charge back methodology.

Directed electronic forms conversion effort and initiatives to automate property life cycle management.
