  4. 4. Not all students have a DW Audit Catalog years prior to 2012- 2013 C.A.P.P. Audit Only Can use DW to do What-if Analysis Catalog years 2012-2013 & 2013-2014 DW & C.A.P.P Should use DW to do what-if to view most recent catalog Catalog years 2014-2015 on DW Audits only
  5. 5. Find: Click here to search for students by name, major, etc. Student ID: If known, enter Students ID. Students will not have Find button. Use buttons to move through search results. Or use drop-down menu to find names. Degree: Displays type of degree (AA, AS, AAS, CERT). Different types will not display on one audit. Toggle to view each degree. Major: Shows students degree program. Indicates when data last refreshed from Banner. DW pulls data from Banner each night.
  6. 6. View: Process audit using selected format. History: View past audits. Best to Save as PDF Format: Different audit views available, Student view is standard. Process New: Generate New. Save as PDF: Best view for printing, saving (no frame). What If: Click here to perform a What-If Audit Look Ahead: Enter planned courses, view how they fit degree requirements.

Degree Block Degree, catalog year, overall credits (in darker blue bar) Each block has its own checklist Complete - green check box, yellow highlighting Nearly Complete blue tilde, blue highlighting Still Needed red box, light red highlighting Click to jump to that block Includes Apply for Graduation check box
  10. 10. Freshman Seminar Block Shows if Freshman Seminar Requirement met If Freshman Seminar waived, will accept 1 credit from another area to fulfill block Notice that the advice Still Needed collapses when requirement is fulfilled
  11. 11. General Education Block Displays General Education Requirements for that major. Student may have fulfilled additional SUNY General Education requirements
  12. 12. Major Block Lists Major (Core) requirements Note that additional Math/Science course for LBAA, LAMS has its own block.
  13. 13. Electives Blocks Liberal Arts Electives and Electives will have their own blocks If a degree program does not require either or both types of electives, the block will be marked as fulfilled with a None Required message
  14. 14. Courses Not Used, Insufficient & In-Progress Courses that were successfully completed, but do not apply to the degree program: Courses Not Used Developmental courses and coursework that was not successfully completed: Insufficient Courses in progress or registered: In-Progress
  15. 15. What-if Analysis View requirements under a different degree program or certificate View only those courses that fulfill a SUNY General Education Silo, see which silos have been fulfilled. Must choose degree type (e.g. AA, AAS, AS) before selecting specific program
  16. 16. Look Ahead Input courses planned for a future term, see how they will fit into degree requirements Does not preregister student for course Can combine What-if Analysis and Look Ahead to see how planned courses will fit into new program of study
  17. 17. GPA Calculator 3 Calculator options Graduation calculator: calculates GPA required to meet a goal, given total credits required for degree and credits earned so far. Term calculator: projects GPA at end of term based on anticipated grades in in-progress coursework. Can add additional courses as well. Advice calculator: based on current GPA and credits, tells students what GPA/credit combinations would meet his/her goal
  18. 18. Limitations Data from Banner imported to DegreeWorks nightly this means that changes made (schedule, major, etc) will be in DegreeWorks the next day. Some students will only have access to CAPP reports Sign-in process may required Banner ID and Network ID and Password Some advanced Degree Works features will be rolled out after initial launch Planners Adviser Notes
