1 container Clorox Disinfecting Wipes

1 box zip-lock bags (any size- no sliders please)

1 package wide-ruled notebook paper

2 tablets of post-it notes (to total 1 inch thick)

1 wide-ruled “composition” notebooks (7 ¼ x 10 “sewn binding)***

2 spiral notebook 70 sheets (wide-ruled, will be covered so choose a cheap/solid one)***

1 3-subject spiral notebook with dividers between subjects

2 plastic folders with prongs and 2 pockets (to last all year for homework)***

2 pocket folders with pockets, no prongs***

3 dozen #2 Pencils (36) Ticonderoga brand is worth the extra money and greatly appreciated!***

1 mini pencil sharpener (with container to catch shavings) This may need to be replaced periodically so that the

2 - inch regular three-ring binder for daily use (No Zipper binders)

1 packages of Dividers (total of 8)

Pencil Box

Scissors (large, sharp, pointed ends)

Black only dry erase pens: 5 to start with. Also, something to erase the

white boards like a sock.

A large box of Kleenex (we ran out of these two months prior to the end of school)

Backpack

3 wide-ruled Spiral Notebooks

3 boxes of Pencils to be replaced as needed. (Mechanical pencils are NOT allowed

because they run out of lead quickly, and make a huge mess.)

Notebook paper (1 small package)

5 - Red ink pens

1 large glue stick

Colored pencils: this is a MUST (Twistables colored pencils – last a long time and

don’t need sharpening).

Small box of crayons

Sturdy hand-held pencil sharpener

Large erasers (not pencil top because they don’t last)

Ruler with both standard and metric measurements (metal ones are best)

2 – 3 Highlighter pens

****Use a permanent marker to write your name on all of your school supplies

before you bring them to school.

Here is what Mrs. Wachs says about PE shoes: They need to wear PE/Gym

shoes on their PE days. If it is easier for the student to bring shoes, so they don’t

have to think about it, that’s great. I am not requiring a change of shoes in PE, so

if they wear running shoes to school, they are good to go!

5th GRADE STUDENT SUPPLY LIST 2015-2016

Please bring to school:

1. 5 boxes of 12, #2 WOODEN PENCILS. These will be community pencils, shared by ALL

(this may seem like a lot, but they write a lot and will go through them)

2. “Pink Pearly” erasers. These will be community erasers, shared by everyone.

3. 3 spiral notebooks, college rule, at least 70 pages. Please, no multi-section spirals –

label with student name

4. 1½ inch 3-ring binder – simple is best – no extra pockets/Velcro (label with name)

5. 2 Sets of 8 dividers for the binder (one set is for binder, the other is for portfolio)

6. 1 small (4 – 6 oz) bottle of white glue - shared by every one

7. 300+ pages of 3-hole binder paper - part will be community/part will be individual

8. 1 box of tissues – will be shared by all

9. BLACK dry erase marker – 3 regular and 3 fine point (for small whiteboards) and no dry

erase marker erasers please

10. Set of highlighters (four different colors)

11. Durable pencil sharpener – label with student name

12. Box of 12 colored pencils – label with student name

13. Small backpack (as long as it can fit a binder) – label with student name

14. Markers – label with student name

15. Scissors- will be shared by all, but please label and they will go home at end of year

16. Pencil pouch (zip or slide) for binder - hooks into rings of binder – label with name

17. Sticky notes – pkg of 3 – 5 (any size)- community

18. 1 Clorox wipes (other brands are fine too!) - community

2. Water bottle – there is a drinking fountain in the room and bottles spill
