Alfastreet Marine presents

its new 6.9m Energy 23 at

the 2013 Boot Düsseldorf

show. The stylish day

cruiser features a hydraulic

hard top roof. Operated by a remote control, the mechanism ensures the boat

is ready for use in less than a minute. To reach the desired speed of 39 knots,

Alfastreet Marine developed and built the planing hull, powered by a 190kW

engine. Top quality selected materials and colours make the boat look even

more luxurious and attractive. Energy 23 offers a cabin with two beds, small

kitchen area in the cockpit, lavatory, mini saloon, 100 litres of fresh water and

a lots of accessories and different types of upholstery.

Interior Award Unveiled At the METS Global Superyacht Forum, Awlgrip unveiled a Trimline-

built model of the winning superyacht interior design Pocket Spa.

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2012, a recent graduate from Croatia,

Maja Vujec, won an interior designer of the future award for

innovative use of the new Awlgrip products. Judges from Ken

Freivokh Design, Trimline and Struik & Hamerslag selected Ms

Vujec’s Pocket Spa design. “I thought Maja’s design was by far the

most innovative and functional for

a yacht and thought the materials

were correct and she used the

new products in a sensible yet

stylish way,” remarked one of the

judges, Jonny Horsfield, Founder

and Designer Director of H2 Yacht

Light Up Your YachtBy September this year Germany’s Yachtlite had already surpassed its fourteen

letterings delivered in 2011 for some of the world’s largest 50m+ superyachts. In a

busy year the custom-made lighting solutions supplier has delivered, among many

harmonious

proportions and with

a length of 87 m and a beam of 13.80 m she boasts

extraordinary volumes, accommodating all of the owner’s

requirements whilst still maintaining sleek and very

elegant lines. Her interior is designed by Reymond

Langton. Her building is supervised by Moran Yacht &

Ship and her delivery is scheduled for 2014.

Making the Impossible Come True

When it comes to developing new

interiors, German yacht outfitters BSW

Yachteinrichter have developed a

reputation for realising unusual yacht

concepts and challenging designs,

following work with yards including

Lürssen and designers such as

Redman Whiteley Dixon. The yacht

outfitter from the German Münsterland

region uses an line-up of experts in all disciplines, starting with project planning, the

procurement of bought-in parts and, last but not least, project management during all

phases. Since its formation in 2007, BSW Yachteinrichter’s quality of materials and

workmanship is evident in numerous projects for German and Dutch yards.

Mint ConditionIn just two months Palumbo shipyard in Naples completed a major refit of

MY Taiba, the first motor yacht of the very successful Golden Bay series build

by Benetti Viareggio in 1997. The ontime delivery enabled the 50m Taiba to be

presented at her best at the Monaco Yacht Show 2012. Palumbo Shipyard

architects and Laura Pomponi updated Taiba’s interiors, while major

maintenance work on exterior areas put her back into mint condition.

No CommentAt the end of October, Dutch yard Feadship sparked global media

attention at the launch of its 78m all-aluminium full custom motoryacht

Venus. While no one is in doubt of the owner’s identity, Feadship took

the opportunity to highlight their reputation for utmost discretion by

choosing not to comment. “Sometimes word gets out about one of our

yachts,” stated Feadship Director Henk de Vries following the

international media furore at his doorstep. “Understandably, our clients

value their privacy greatly and consequently we never discuss our

owners’ identity.” Of course for readers of SuperYacht Industry, the real

news is not the owner’s identity, but Venus’s Philippe Starck design,

unusual lines and intriguing glimpses of technology and workmanship.

Thoughtful TenderColombo is building its first new 9.7m 32 Super Indios Tender for

an 80m superyacht. Designed by Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard,

famed creators of stylish very large yachts, the tender is made with

great care using the best construction materials and precious

finishing elements. The walkaround deck is full of comfortable sofas

which can be fully protected by Bimini at the bow as well at the aft.

The retractable console dashboard reduces height with a simple

touch of a switch, facilitating entry into the hangar of superyachts.

The same mechanism protects the equipment when the boat is

mooring. The tender is easily manoeuvred and moored with a

joystick control and special items, such as retractable steps, the tip

bow, and ergonomic handles for embarking and disembarking –

avoiding the uncertainties passengers feel getting on or off boats.
