TEM Web ADI Settings and Instructions

I. Required Settings (Excel and Web Browser)

Excel Trust Center Settings Click the Excel Options button

Click ‘Trust Center’ on the left menu and then click the ‘Trust Center Settings’ button.

Click ‘Macro Settings’ on the left menu of the Trust Center window. Check the box next to the ‘Trust access to the VBA project object model’ setting.

Click ‘ActiveX Settings’ on the left menu of the Trust Center window. Select ‘Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions’. Click OK.

Note: If you are using Office 2013, you will need to clear the cache on your internet browser and delete temporary internet files the first time you use Web ADI in order for the forms to download properly. You will not have to do this each time your download the forms- only the first time. Web Browser Settings Internet Explorer Settings From the web browser menu, click ‘Tools’ > ‘Internet Options’.

Click the ‘Security’ tab, select ‘Internet’ in the “select a zone region”, and click the ‘Custom level…’ button.

In the Security Settings window, scroll down until you see the ‘Scripting’ region. Under the ‘Allow status bar updates via script’ click the ‘Enable’ button. Click OK.

If the Warning message appears, click ‘Yes’ to change the settings.

From the web browser menu, click ‘Tools’ > ‘Compatibility View Settings’.

In the textbox, type ‘upenn.edu’ and click ‘Add’. Then click ‘Close’.

To clear your temporary internet files and cache: From the web browser menu, click ‘Tools’ > ‘Delete browsing history…’ Make sure that the ‘Preserve Favorites website data’ box is UNCHECKED and the ‘Temporary Internet files and website files’ and ‘Cookies and website data’ boxes are CHECKED.

Click ‘Delete’. Firefox Settings (Firefox 38 through 45) Navigate to the Options menu.

From the Security options menu enable the ‘Warn me when sites try to install add-ons’. Then click the ‘Exceptions’ box.

In the textbox, type ‘upenn.edu’ and click ‘Allow’. Then click ‘Close’.

To clear your temporary internet files and cache: From the Options menu, select ‘Privacy’ and under the History section, click ‘Clear all current history’.

From the options menu, select ‘Advanced’, then click on the Network tab. Click ‘Clear Now’ under both, the Cached Web Content section and Offline Web Content and User Data section:

Click the ‘Advanced’ button for Enable JavaScript.

Enable the ‘Move or resize popup windows’ and ‘Disable or replace context menus’ options.

II. Editing and uploading using Web ADI After logging into BEN Financials select a Penn TEM Web ADI responsibility. Select the TEM maintenance form that you want to use.

This launches the steps to create the form in MS Excel. Select your version of MS Excel, or leave it as the default Excel 2007. The forms will open in your current version of Excel, even if you do not change the viewer. Click Next.

Enter the search criteria. Click Continue.

If the site is blocked, right click on the status message and click ‘Download File’.

Open the Excel template the was created.

If prompted, click the Enable Content button.

Once the template is downloaded, click ‘Close’ in the Confirmation window.

The template is then available. To update and add rows unprotect the sheet from the ‘Review’ menu.

Make changes in the fields by typing the information or double clicking to search. If you double click on the cell then the Search screen pops up.

Once the changes are complete, upload them to Concur by navigating to the ‘Add-Ins’ menu and then ‘Oracle > Upload’

Click the Upload button

If the upload was successful a green smiley icon is returned in the Messages column.
