Failure to follow the safety precautions shown below mayresult in serious personal injury or death!

• Never attempt to work on quarry equipment while it is in operation. Always stop the machinery,lockout power and tag controls. . .

1. Before performing any lubrication, maintenance, adjustment or repairs.

2. Before removing spilled materials.

3. Before clearing jams or working inside the machinery.

4. If any unusual noises or sudden changes in operation are noticed.

• Stay clear of feed and discharge areas and other places where falling rock is present. Keep awayfrom loading vehicles.

• Wear and use personal protective equipment in accordance with all applicable health and safetyregulations. Safety goggles, hard hat, ear plugs and steel toe shoes are mandatory when workingnear machinery. Wear and use additional personal protective equipment as required.

• Stay clear of springs and other pinch points. Never reach in between vibrating equipment and itssupport structure. Keep a safe distance from all moving components.

• Never attempt to enter the crushing chamber when tramp iron or other uncrushable objects arewedged inside. These materials are under tremendous pressure and may be propelled upwardsthrough the feed opening at any time. On crushers not equipped with hydraulic clearing, use a pole,hook, grappling device or breaker bar to safely dislodge uncrushable objects.

• Do not make equipment modifications that will result in a safety hazard or create a dangeroussituation. Never remove or disable safety devices. Maintain all machinery in accordance withmanufacturer’s instructions and maintenance schedules.

• Read the operator’s manual for the equipment that you operate. Be sure that you fully understandall phases of operation for each machine. A careful and well-trained operator is the best insuranceagainst an accident.

• Refer to the Telsmith Quarry Equipment Safety Guide for important quarry safety information. Ifyour copy of the Safety Guide is missing, replacement copies may be obtained from your localTelsmith dealer or the Telsmith Parts Department.

• All rotating power products are potentially dangerous and must be properly guarded. Placementof guards and other safety equipment is the user’s responsibility. Such equipment must be installedwherever appropriate and maintained are required.

• It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that quarry equipment is installed and used in a safeand lawful manner. All machinery must be operated in compliance with applicable health and safetylaws and general standards of reasonable care.

How To Order Repair Parts

1. Find the model and serial number of the crusher.This information is located on a data plate attached tothe crusher frame. Tag controls and lock out powerbefore attempting to read data plate!

2. Determine which parts are needed. Use the partslists and exploded diagrams contained in this booklet tohe lp i den t i f y rep laceab le components andsubassemblies.

3. Order parts from your local Telsmith dealer or theTelsmith Parts Department. To ensure that you receivethe correct parts, don’t forget to include your crusher’smodel and serial numbers when ordering.

Transportation Damage or Loss ClaimsAll shipments are carefully inspected and delivered tothe carrier in good condition. However, always check forany loss or damage that may have occurred duringtransit.

Refuse to accept any shipment with lost or damagedi tems un t i l t he ca r r ie r p rov ides a wr i t tenacknowledgment of the problem. In the event ofconcealed damage, notify the carrier as soon aspossible.

By following these suggestions you will have lessdifficulty in collecting your claim. Note that for mostcarriers, freight claims must be filed with the destinationcarrier by the consignee.

Return of Repair Parts

Telsmith will not accept return of any parts unless theyare accompanied by a material return authorization(MRA) form. Before returning any parts, always contactthe Telsmith Parts Department to obtain an MRA form.

Since returned parts must be thoroughly inspected priorto resale, there may be a return charge which will bequoted when authorization is given.

Additional Information

The actual parts used on your machine may be differentthan shown in this catalog, due to fabrication variables,custom engineering, or product improvements.

If a repair part has been improved in design and bearsa revised part number, the improved part will besupplied in place of the part ordered.

Orders for obsolete parts requiring fabrication are notsubject to cancellation or return. Supplier items whichare specia l ly ordered are a lso not subject tocancellation or return.
