From the cradle of the Mediterranean...During her career as an herbal tea designer, Caroline has created a wide variety of teas for top tea companies, but one gap remained. Nowhere in the tea world was there a caffeine-free match for robust, roasted coffee. Teeccino was created to capture that unmistakable, rich Mediterranean flavor. Beginning by roasting and grinding a variety of unique ingredients, Caroline created the first Teeccino formulas with ingredients like carob, barley, chicory, dates, figs and almonds that were originally from the Mediterranean and part of the healthy Mediterranean diet for centuries.

Organic Teeccino Maya Herbal CoffeeIn 2006, after working for a number of years to develop a new rainforest crop, Caroline launched a new line of herbal coffees for Teeccino. The Maya line of herbal coffees is certified organic and includes the novel ingredient, ramon nuts, a traditional food of the Maya civilization, which is wild-harvested in the Maya Biosphere Reserve in Guatemala.

- More -Ramon Nuts are nutrient rich, high in fiber and potassium, and have a delicious coffee-like flavor when they are roasted. 1% of sales from Teeccino’s three Maya flavors, Maya Caffé, Maya Chocolaté, and Maya Chai, support programs developing sustainable forest crops and educating women about nutrition in rural communities in Central America.
