Fast Elegant ComputersTrend-Setting Apps and Services

Over the last twelve months, Apple has upgraded all of its major hardware lines. These MacBooks and iMacs are reliable, faster, more powerful. And, of course, the iPad now seems as revolutionary as any previous Apple computer or device.

The iPad is one of several developments in a year at Apple that hints at trends likely to define computing in the future. The App store has quickly evolved from how one downloads applications for the

iPhone and iPad to the only way some software can be purchased for an Apple computer.

This Web-only approach to software purchase and installation seems a harbinger for other moves into the Cloud. GarageBand, iMovie and especially iPhoto make it easy to share content through email and social media sites. Indeed, iDVD’s quiet departure from the iLife suite may suggest a move away from physical media of any kind.

Finally, many expect Apple to put their imprint on Cloud computing with the next operating system (Lion) and future versions of iWork.
