What is it? Use of technology in the class by teachers

and students. “Technology should be integrated, not as

a separate subject or as a once-in-a-while project, but as a tool to promote and extend student learning on a daily basis.”

I believe that technology integration refers more to how the technology is actually connected to the curriculum in the classroom rather than technology use which is simply using technology equipment in a manner that may or may not be related to what is going on in the classroom.

Show children an online weather forecast to integrate technology into a unit on weather.

Integrate online math problems. Show children sites of recent news

sources to have the children more literate of current events.

Do an online research group project on wikispaces, such as we did in w301.

Provide educational computer games to incorporate into lessons (Oregon Trail, Math Blaster, etc.)

Instead of just having technology present in the classroom, INTEGRATE it into your lesson!

Students need a good basis of technology “know-how” to thrive in the twenty-first century

Students and teachers can have great access to up-to-date reliable material

Relevant technology will be presented in conjunction with lesson curriculum.
