Today is Thursday, December 7, 2017 The Tavares High School Band will present its Winter Prism Concert today and Friday at 7 p.m. in the THS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door. Any students wishing to audition for this year’s musical “The Little Mermaid” should attend a very important meeting today during Learning Opportunities. Important information on the audition process will be discussed and forms will be handed out at that time. Any students wishing to audition for this year’s musical “The Little Mermaid” should attend a very important meeting today during Learning Opportunities. Important information on the audition process will be discussed and forms will be handed out at that time.

2003 - A 12-inch by 26-inch painting of a river landscape and sailing vessel by Martin Johnson Heade was sold at auction for $1 million. The painting was found in the attic of a suburban Boston home where it had been stored for more than 60 years.
