Billboard Magazine

Billboard magazine is a similar magazine to the style I am looking for mine to be like. All the artists used on the cover’s are relevant exciting artists that the target audience will be interested to read about. Also the style of the branded masthead, with colours and fonts that can easily be recognised as Billboard magazine this is something I will consider when making my own magazine to make my masthead unique and branded.

Billboard is a weekly American magazine, the magazine was founded in 1894, and has expanded over the decades to cover radio, recorded music and other areas of the rapidly growing entertainment industry. Now focused the music business Billboard Magazine publishes news, analysis trend reporting and other key features, as well as Billboard's famous standard-setting charts of the US.

In 2008 the magazine achieved a circulation of 18,385. Although the target audience of "Billboard is primarily the U.S, the magazine is also published in the UK.

The artist’s featured in Billboard magazine are mostly relevant artists of that time and fit with the genre of RnB, Chart music and Dance music.

Vibe magazine

Vibe magazine similarly to Billboard magazine focuses on current artists in the RnB/dance genre and therefore this is another magazine I will be using to help shape my own music magazine.

Vibe is aimed at both male and female and also makes a consistent effort to include artists of ethnic minority on the cover. Showing a range of different people.

Vibe magazine like Billboard is also an American magazine, therefore the artists on the cover are mainly American RnB artists.
