Stephen Covey

TAPMI’s value-based education focuses on fostering and sustaining excellence among its constituents, be it students or faculty members. When we pick and choose our students through a fiercely competitive and rigorous process, we understand the interlinkage among the constituents and the complexities it poses in the sustenance of excellence.
As an academic institution engaged in postgraduate education in management, the Institute relies heavily on Outcome-Based Learning (OBL) with a clear vision on the learning-goals of the programme and the courses. This warrants continual benchmarking against the requirements of the industry and the knowledge of the changing industrial scenario both of which determine the skill-sets the graduates should possess. TAPMI achieves this through regular industry interaction throughout the year in the form of Guest lectures, Conclaves and Leadership Lecture Series. This enables a well-balanced curriculum that engages the students in such learning processes that are akin to learning to swim: hands-on experience with eyes and ears deeply focussed towards the environment and the grit and energy to face setbacks, to be resilient and to adapt.
TAPMI does not teach the students mere theories of management. It educates them to manage work, society and life. It inculcates the sense of responsibility that a managerial career and a leadership role entail.
The proof of TAPMIans’ excellence lies in their job-readiness. TAPMI prides itself in making job-ready managers in its graduates, those who can adapt to the organisation from the moment they enter, those who possess humility and modesty and those who have the ability and willingness to question the status quo with a view to making improvements. Our students are assertive, polite, know the balance between short-term objectives and long-term goals, and they derive pride from their accomplishments and achievements for the institutions that they serve.
TAPMI’s education system makes a difference to the graduates’ thinking; it provides them a useful paradigm for life. At TAPMI, the students imbibe the quality of organisational citizenship.
This distinguishes TAPMIans from rest of the business school graduates. TAPMIans are well educated in making the most appropriate choice between conflicting choices and are tolerant to ambiguity and diversity. For them, there are no right or wrong decisions; there are only acceptable or unacceptable consequences. This is the essence of a TAPMIan.
This edition of placement brochure aims to give you a glimpse of what TAPMIans are. I look forward to meeting you at our campus. I am confident that our collective engagement will be of mutual benefit.
DIRECTOR’S MESSAGER. C. Natarajan, PhDDirector
We would like to thank all our corporate partners who have been recruiting the country’s best young corporate minds from our campus. Sincere thanks to all of you.
TAPMI has been among the top Business schools in India and is growing in stature in terms of variety and quality of graduating students. The very successful 29-year-old flagship PGDM bears testimony to this. This year will also witness the third batch of PGDM – Healthcare Management students graduating.
The final placements scenario for the batch which graduated in 2013 witnessed 71 reputed companies competing for our students. The list of corporates for our summer and final placements are available in our brochure on our website.
TAPMI’s passion to impart quality education and academic rigour is recognised through its AACSB accreditation, CRISIL - A*** grading (highest awarded on a National and State level) and its association with world class international institutions like Asian Institute of Management, Manila and Sheffield Hallam University in UK for student exchange programs.
We present before you the graduating batch of 2012-14 who will be ready to join the industry from April - May 2014 onwards. The batch consisting of 312 bright minds from PGDM and PGDM-Healthcare is unique by its diversity in experience, gender, students from across India, their achievements and areas of interest.
We are also proud to say that we are a founding member of Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) to bring about a transparency in reporting of placement data. We look forward to having you on campus and to raise the bar for Placements 2014.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the oldest and toughest accreditation organisation in the world. AACSB (www.aacsb.edu) expanded its operations to enable the spread of the best practices of management education globally. World over, only about 5% of the business schools pass muster in acquiring AACSB’s accreditation. As on April 2012, there were close to 50 business schools in India that had sought AACSB’s membership or accreditation. TAPMI is the first and only AICTE approved B-school to have been accredited in India.
TAPMI is one among the exclusive business schools in the country that was awarded an A *** grading by CRISIL, in 2011-12. It has been graded A *** at the National and Karnataka State level again during the year 2012-13.#
