Serving a 17-county region in North Florida and South Georgia, TMH is comprised of an acute care hospital, a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, three residency programs, 35 affiliated physician practices, over 710 physicians on medical staff, and partnerships with Florida State University College of Medicine, UF Health, Doctors’ Memorial Hospital, Weems Memorial Hospital and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

The Children’s Center is home to the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Child Life program in the region. Through an affiliation with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, TMH has the Children’s Emergency Center located at the Emergency Center – Northeast and pediatric cardiologists available at the Wolfson Children’s Specialty Center in Tallahassee.

WOMEN & BABIES

The only Level-II Trauma Center in the region with the area’s highest accreditations, including a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation.

TRAUMA

The most powerful cancer program in the Big Bend region with medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology and gynecologic oncology all in one facility. It is the longest continuously accredited comprehensive community cancer program in Florida.

With primary care practices and specialty clinics in seven counties, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare’s vast network of Physician Partner practices serve patients and their families with comprehensive care during all the phases of their life.

PHYSICIAN PARTNERS

The Panhandle’s most advanced neurosurgery program, including brain and spinal cord injury care in addition to stroke and aneurysm treatments without opening the skull. Home to North Florida’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center and the region’s only Neurological Intensive Care Unit.

A leader in the Southeast for exceptional heart and vascular care and advanced clinical research. ORTHOPEDIC Offering the most experienced orthopedic team in the area with a pediatric orthopedic program, custom joint replacement procedures, orthopedic trauma care, and compassionate rehabilitation.

Behavioral Health CenterOffers mental health services including chemical dependency, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and more in inpatient and outpatient settings through a collaborative team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals. Services offered to children and adults.

Cancer Center In a soothing environment, the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center offers outpatient services for patients undergoing cancer and blood disorder treatments. Radiation therapy, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and an international network of clinical trials are available to patients under the leadership of our team of physicians, nurses, navigators, social works, technicians, dietitians and more.

Children’s CenterHome to the only Pediatric ICU, Child Life Specialist program and the most experienced pediatric staff in the region. The center is committed to reducing children’s anxiety with distraction devices (iPads, TVs, and interactive games), reduced needle pain (Buzzy, numbing cream and freeze spray), and treatment tools specific to children (vein finder, treatment room and playroom).

Chronic Pain Management Services consist of outpatient medical management of chronic pain and addiction and minor interventional procedures. These procedures include: trigger point injections, peripheral nerve blocks, joint injections and uncomplicated epidural or caudal injections.

Emergency & Trauma ServicesFrom the region’s only trauma center, to an urgent care facility for minor injuries and illnesses, and a new full-service Children’s Emergency Center, nowhere else in the region will you find a more comprehensive emergency and urgent care system to meet your needs.

Family Medicine Residency Program Providing quality primary family care for more than 40 years, the program also offers specialized care ranging from obstetrics and pediatrics to health maintenance and treatment of chronic diseases. The program also provides inpatient services through Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

General Surgery Residency ProgramThrough a partnership with the FSU College of Medicine, TMH is home to the General Surgery Residency Program. With a focus on caring for a diverse community, this program is designed to provide excellent general surgery care to patients.

Genetics & GenomicsFocuses on the use of genetics to prevent, diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, including heart disease and cancer. Through the expert knowledge of a geneticist and clinical genetics counselor, the center is the only center of its kind in the Big Bend region.

Heart & Vascular CenterOur Heart & Vascular Center is a leader in the Southeast for advanced heart care and research. We are also home to an

accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI & Resuscitation and the area’s only accredited Atrial Fibrillation with EPS program. With an expert team of cardiologists and surgeons, we provide exceptional heart and vascular care for our patients. In fact, our physicians perform more clinical research and advanced procedures than any other program in the North Florida and South Georgia region.

Home Health CareOur highly trained medical staff provides patients with the ability to continue care in their own homes to ease the transition from hospital to home after a hospital stay, surgery or trauma. Services include physical, speech and occupational therapy, nutrition planning, medication education, post-operative recovery and elder care.

Internal Medicine Residency ProgramThrough a partnership with the FSU College of Medicine, TMH is home to the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This program provides primary care to adults in the Big Bend and specializes in caring for complex medical conditions.

Metabolic Health CenterOffered at the TMH Physician Partners – Metabolic Health Center, TMH supports patients with chronic conditions associated with weight, diabetes, endocrinology and lipids. This group provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for overweight or obese patients, including weight-loss surgery, nutrition counseling, meal replacement plans and behavioral counseling. Additionally, they provide education, individual counseling and support for both adults and children with diabetes. Finally, they support, educate, test, manage medications and supply nutrition counseling for patients with lipid disorders on a referral basis.

Neuroscience & NeurosurgeryTallahassee Memorial boasts the region’s most advanced neurological care, including stroke and aneurysm treatments without opening the skull. Treating patients from a tri-state area, TMH provides patients with the area’s only Neurological Intensive Care Unit, the region’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only state designated Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Center. The program offers a broad range of neurological services including a Parkinson’s Clinic and Memory Disorder Clinic.

Orthopedic CenterOur Orthopedic Center works with orthopedic surgeons to provide high-quality orthopedic care including pediatric orthopedic services, sports medicine, minimally invasive surgeries, trauma care and a full range of joint replacement options. It is also registered as an American Orthopedic Association Own the Bone site.

Rehabilitation CenterOur 53-bed, sub-acute skilled nursing facility offers a full range of medical and rehabilitation services, including comprehensive physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies. Specialty services include outpatient stroke rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy. We also have five outpatient rehabilitation centers throughout the Big Bend and offer pediatric rehabilitation at our Tallahassee facility.

SERVICES continuedSleep CenterOur Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions that keep people awake at night.

Surgical ServicesFrom precise neurosurgery and heart valve replacement through minor incisions in the leg, to robotic surgery through the belly button and custom joint replacement procedures, revolutionary technology and techniques provide patients with the best possible care, including the most advanced robotic surgery system in the Big Bend.

TMH Physician PartnersTMH Physician Partners is a community based, multi-specialty group affiliating TMH with over 30 practices and over 200 providers.

Women’s PavilionNow the only hospital in Tallahassee to earn the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare leads the region by delivering more than 75 percent of babies born in the area. With 19 labor and delivery rooms, the facility is dedicated to providing patient-centered care to new babies and their families. As the only facility designated as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, TMH is equipped to handle high-risk moms and premature or critically ill babies.
