This will give even more of a personalized, neighborhood living experience to its residents and guests. A new chapel will also be built. Here’s what you need to know: 1. Sarah Community staff and its Board of Directors took more than a year of review and consideration to develop and plan for a new structure to support our residents and staff. 2. The Board of Directors approved a new building to be located over by Veronica House and Naomi House. 3. Construction of the Anna House is set to begin in November with a special groundbreaking ceremony. 4. We're keeping the things you love and the character of the current Anna House with a new place that will enhance your experience even more. Once construction is completed, there will be a seamless transition. 5. St. Andrew’s Management Services along with architectural firm The Lawrence Group, Hercules Construction Management Company and BSI Constructors have been selected to build the new Anna House, which is projected to cost $17 million. 6. The new Anna House will be unique among the St. Louis area skilled nursing care community. Move-ins are expected to begin in January 2013. 7. A new Chapel will also be built utilizing private funds. This reflects the faith of The Sarah Community’s Five Founding Orders of Religious Women and this unifying chapel will enable the Sisters and laity to worship together. Support for the new Chapel from corporations, foundations, and individuals in the St. Louis Community will be sought. 8. Please plan on attending one of the Town Hall meetings on October 29. Please direct questions concerning the construction of the new Anna House and Chapel to me at [email protected] or (314) 209-8814.
