    TP N5: CRIMES

    1. Which crimes are:

    very serious?

    common in your country?

    Not common in your country?

(I believe that)The crimes that are very serious are kidnapping, mugging,

    murder, arson and terrorism.

(From myt point of view) The crimes that are common in my country are

    theft, burglary, shoplifting and vandalism.

The crimes that arent common in my country are terrorism and looting.

Sabri: looting is a very common crime in Arg. Remember 2001 crisis and

last weeks looting to DOT shopping centre in BA. Give examples that

    support your ideas.

2.Have you or anyone you know been victim of a crime? What

    happened?

(Yes, one of) My friend(s) has been victim of a crime. (One day) She was

walking home when suddenly somebody approached her. It was a 20 year

old man. She pointed at her with a gun and told her to give him all the

money she had and her mobile phone. She started to cry and gave him

everything. Finally the man ran away. (It was a terrible experience for her.)

    3. What do you think about identity theft? Why is it easy to

    steal somebodys identity?

    4.

(Iconsider that) it must be easy to steal someones identity because by

using the Internet and web pages such as Facebook or Twitter you can

create an account with a fake name and pretend to be somebody else.

( It is very common these days and leads to very serious trouble to the

person whose identity has been stolen.)

(One thing that happens all the time is when you chat with somebody

who isnt the person that he or she says to be. Children, for example can

get involved with adults who pretend to be children or younger when in

fact they can be abusers or any other kind of criminals.)

    5. Do you ever buy on the internet/use your credit cards on the

    Internet?

No, I never buy on the Internet. (Because I dont rely on it. If I did I think

I would be afraid of getting into serious trouble, such as getting my

password stolen, or having to pay for things that I didnt actually buy,

thats why I would never do it. I know that some people do it all the

time, but I would never take that risk)

    6. Do you know anyone whose credir card has been stolen?

No, I dont. (It must be terrible because as I said before it can get you

into serious money trouble. Some people end up paying large sumsof money because of that reason. It is so unfair).

    TP N6 &7:

    1. If you have a problema at school, at home or at work; who do

    you usually ask for help?

If I have a problem. I usually tell it to my friends. They always find how tomake me feel better and help me to solve it. I trust them a lot.

    2. When was the last time you offered to help someone?

The last time I offered to help someone was yesterday. An old man

fell from the bus and I helped him up. (I felt I had done something

good for that man and I think I would do it again because caring

about others makes you a better person as well as it helps you value

    your own life).

    TP N11: Give your opinin

    TV makes children violent.

From my point of view sometimes TV makes children violent because

children tend to copy everything they see and when they watch violent

scenes on TV they act out what they have seen. (Parent should pay

special attention to the contents of the tv programmes that their

children are exposed to when they are in front of the screen).

20 is a good age to get married.

I believe that 20 isnt a good age to get married because at that age we

have many things to learn and experience. (Most 20 year old peoplearent yet mature enough to make such an important decision that will

have an impact on their whole life. I would never get married at such a

young age. I would wait until I feel mature enough.)

    Friends give the best advice.

In my opinion friends always give the best advice because they are the

people who know us better. (And they want us to be happy, etc, etc, etc).

Children shouldnt be allowed to have mobile phones.

I think it depends on (no deca nada ms, podria ser algo as. It depends on

the kind of life the child has. If he/she spends long hours out of the house doing

activities after school, or when they start going out alone with friends I think it

is the most effective way of being in touch with parents because they can call

him/her at any time they want and know where they and what they are doing.

In these cases, I think that children should have mobiles phones. However I don

t agree with those parents who buy incredibly expensive mobile phones to

children who spend all they long chatting with friends through them without

being able to disconnect even when they are having dinner which is the time

they can talk with their own family for a while.)

    TP N 9: ECOLOGY

    1. What is Ecology?

Ecology is the scientific study of interactions of organisms with one

another and with the physical and chemical environment.

    2. What do you do to llok after the environment? What could be

    done to protect the environment?

In order to look after the environment we can do many things such as

recycling, changing our kitchen habits, planting trees, using the

energy properly. In my case, I try no to waste water and electricity.

    3. What do you know about the ozone layer, global warming, air

    and noise pollution?

I know that the global warming affects the environment badly. All the

living organisms such as plants, animals, insects and the human race are

conditioned by the developing of the global warming.

    4. Whats the ecological footprint?

Our ecological footprint tells us how much land and water is needed to

support the way we live. It takes into account things like the food we eat,

the amount of travelling we do, etc.

    5. Do you recycle?

No I dont. (SAY WHY NOT)

    TP N10.

    What do you think about

    Your future?

In my future I hope that I will get a degree in Social communication or as a

Language teacher. I would like to live in Bahia Blanca and have two children. A

boy and a girl would be great. Of course I would like to have a boyfriend who

loves me deeply and who I can share my life with.

    The future of your country?

I have an optimistic view of this point. I hope that my country will develop

widely and will continue to grow. It will also become more populated.

    The future of the world?

Im afraid I have a negative perspective on this point. The world will be

increasingly polluted and we will face many natural disasters because of that

    reason.
