Generic Tadalafil (Tadalift tablets by Pfizer) is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED, impotence; inability to get or keep an erection), in adult men. Tadalafil belongs to a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors. It works to treat erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can cause an erection.

Tadalift Tablets should be swallowed whole, and can be taken with or without food.

Starting Dose for Treatment of ED: 10 mg of Tadalift as needed prior to sexual activity.

The dosage may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg based upon efficacy and tolerability.

Tadalift (Generic Tadalafil Tablets) improves erectile function compared to placebo up to 36 hours post dose. This medicine to be taken more than once in any 24 hour period. i.e. At least 24 hours have to pass before taking your next dose.

Contraindications

Tadalift is contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any other component of this medication. Administration of Tadalift tablets to patients using any form of organic nitrate is contraindicated. Tadalift (Generic Tadalafil Tablets) was shown to potentiate the hypotensive effect of nitrates.. Administration with guanylate cyclase (GC) stimulators, such as Riociguat is contraindicated.

Common Tadalift side effects occurring in 2% or more of the patients undergoing treatment with this medicine are headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, nasal congestion, flushing, and pain in limb. These side effects usually go away after a few hours. Men who get back pain and muscle aches usually get it 12 to 24 hours after taking this medicine. Back pain and muscle aches usually go away within 2 days.

Call your doctor in case you get any side effect that bothers you or one that does not go away.
