The best part is that Mums and Dads can enjoy our special coffee and cake offer in the Arts Café at the same time.

In the Gold Coast City Gallery, an art and f ilm installation charts the development of the seminal pro surf ing movement after the 1972 World Titles and the Australian surfers that revolutionised the surf industry forever. Sons of Beaches ’72 is an exhibition for the whole Gold Coast Community.

See you at the show.

Based on the original book by Gold Coast writer Tim Baker, and surf photographer Ted Grambeau, this beautiful story depicts a surreal underwater world where a young surfer is led by a mermaid into the depths to meet her marine friends, the whales. The whales are wary and sceptical of the creature from above, whose kind has wreaked havoc on the marine environment.

Premiering at the Bleach Festival – this production will be presented in an intimate casual setting in Centre’s black box theatre. With original composition by Nadia Sunde, and direction and dramaturge by Melina Collie-Holmes – this glorious intimate production is a must for the whole family.
