The Orion 50 is a beautiful, fast, low profile, center cockpit ketch with a three stateroom layoutthat gives you sought after accommodations that you find on some of the best-selling moderncenter cockpit cruising vessels like the Hylas 49, Hallberg Rassy 53, Moody 54 and others.

When you enter the companionway from the center cockpit, you will instantly be impressed withthe open space, the light and the beautiful joinery. The Ta Shing high quality standard isinstantly apparent. But more than that, you will be attracted to some unique and well thoughtout features. Tyee’s interior has all new cushions throughout. The custom joinery of the ceilingis very special and it gives you 6’4” headroom. The windows provide almost a raised salonfeeling without the high cabin house.

From the companionway, immediately to port is a large and efficient galley and a large U-shaped dinette that can seat 6-8 guests. To starboard, the amazing navigation station is tuckedjust into the walkthrough to the aft owner’s cabin.

The forward part of the vessel includes a very large V-berth cabin and a large and comfortableport side stateroom with a large twin berth and a head to starboard. This layout is very efficientfor a family or guests and is wonderful to have that real port side amidships cabin that is notjust bunk beds, but an actual stateroom.

Like many sailors and live-aboard cruisers, you will love the completely private master stateroomaft with the ensuite head and separate stall shower. The Orion has an added attraction in thatthe aft cabin has private access to the cockpit. The aft stateroom has an extra wide King berth,with a new custom Handcraft Mattress.

This is a spacious, comfortable, world cruising yacht that has been upgraded continually and amajor refit over the last four years by her present owners for extended ocean crossings.
