This reagent system presumptively identifies all forms of Heroin, including brown and black tar and Ecstasy (MDMA). How to Use Test L 1. Remove clip and insert into the test pack an amount of powdered suspect material that would fit inside this circle. Reseal with clip and tap gently to assure material falls to the bottom of the pouch. 2. With the printed side of the test pack facing you, break the ampules from left to right. Break by squeezing the center of the ampule with the tips of the thumb and forefinger. 3. Break the left ampule. Agitate gently for one minute. No color is expected at this step. Should a purple color develop, this indicates the presence of Ecstasy (MDMA). 4. Break right ampule and agitate gently. An immediate green color indicates the presence of Heroin. Interpretation of Resulting Colors 1. Due to the possible existence of various dyes in certain types of Heroin, the first ampoule may show various colors. If purple appears, this is a confirming color for the presence of Ecstasy (MDMA). 2. Heroin is confirmed in the second ampoule by a green color which will intensify with prolonged agitiation. Ecstasy colors in the second ampoule may vary. 3. In the absence of dyes with the first ampoule, the detection of Heroin within this test may be presumptively verified by Test A. CAUTION A. Since these tests contain strong acids, it is suggested that Test F - Acid Neutralizer be used after testing and before disposal. B. Before discarding used test packs, remove clip and add one measure of acid neutralizer from Test F. C. Add slowly to prevent bubbling over. D. DO NOT reseal the test pouch until effervescence has completely stopped. E. Reseal pouch with clip and discard in a tamper-free disposal unit. F. No attempt should be made to crush the glass particles after the ampoules are broken. G. Antidote: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. If swallowed, do not give emetics. Contact a physician. WARNING These tests are NOT designed for use with liquid samples.

3. Casserl’ampouledegauche.Agiterlégèrement.L’héroïnen’estpasdéceléeparledéveloppementd’unecouleurquelconqueàcestade.Unecouleurpourpreindiquelaprésenced’Ecstasy(MDMA).
4. Briserl’ampoulededroiteetagiterlégèrement.Levirageimmédiatauvertindiquelaprésenced’héroïne.
Interprétation des couleurs1. Du fait de la présence possible de divers colorants dans certains
types d’héroïne, plusieurs couleurs peuvent apparaître lorsqué lalèreampouleestbrisée.Levirageaupourpreconfirmelaprésenced’Ecstasy.
2. La présence d’héroïne est confirmée avec la 2ème ampoule parl’apparitiond’unecouleurvertequis’intensifieaprèsuneagitationprolongée.Lescouleursindicatricesdel’Ecstasypeuventvarieravecla2èmeampoule.
3. En l’absence de colorants agissantsur le réactif de la premièreampoule,laprésenceéventuelled’héroïnedéceléeparcetestpeutêtreconfirméeparletestA.
MISE EN GARDEA. Étant donné que ces tests contiennent de l’acide fort ou
