    /. ELIGI1ILITY FOR ADMISSION IN TO THE COURSE2

    a) A candidate seeking admission into LL.M (Research ) Degree course should have passed

    3Year / 5ear !.L / LL.! Degree e"amination or e#uivalent thereto$ %ith a minimum o& ' o&

    marks on the aggregate o& all the ears including internal assessment / *essional marks i& an.

    !esides$ the candidate has to #uali& in the prescri+ed entrance e"amination o& that ear.

    +) 0he total seats sanctioned &or each +ranch classi&ied into t%o categories namel i.e. convener

    seats 1 and management #uota seats 2.

    II. COURSE OF STUDY2 0he course shall +e a regular / &ull time course %ith the +ranches o&

    () onstitution and Legal 4rder and (2) riminal La%. 0he course o& stud shall +e o& t%o

    academic ears consisting o& &our semesters %here in &irst and second semesters during the &irst

    academic ear and third and &ourth semesters during second academic ear. 0he duration o& each

    semester is ninet instruction das o& si" hours a da including the das allotted &or tests$

    e"aminations and preparation holidas. 0he inter semester +reak shall +e t%o %eeks.

    III. SCHEME OF E3AMINATION2

    a). 0he ourse o& stud shall comprise o& &irst and second semesters during the &irst academic

    ear and third and &ourth semester during the second academic ear. n the &irst semester there

    %ill +e &our theor papers and in the second semester there %ill +e three theor papers and one

    practical training and in third semester there %ill +e three theor papers respectivel. 0he &ourth

    semester is e"clusivel allotted &or dissertation and viva6voce e"amination. 0he total marks &or

    &our semesters put together are 3 including practical training and dissertation marks.

    +) Te +!4'+u+ +!r5 or e!* #eor& 6!6er shall +e %here in 2 marks are allotted &or

    internal assessment and 1 marks &or semester end universit e"amination.

    c).Te +!4'+u+ +!r5" or 6r!*#'*! #r!'%'%g"paper shall +e l %here in 5 marks &or

    research methodolog$ 25 marks &or clinical %ork and 25 marks &or La% teaching. 0his practical

    training paper shall +e taken up at the end o& second semester. 0he &acult shall evaluate the

    components o& practical training internall. 0his paper is purel practical hence no universit

    e"amination. 7or details see the slla+us.

    d). D'""er#!#'o% !%$ 7'7o07o*e8 At the end o& &ourth semester a candidate shall su+mit a

    dissertation on an topic approved + the *upervisor &acult. 0he ma"imum marks allotted &or

    dissertation and vivo6voce shall +e 2 %here in 5 marks &or dissertation %ritten part and 5

    marks &or viva6voce e"amination. 0he su+mission o& dissertation shall not +e later than the last

    %orking da o& the course o& stud o& ' thsemester. 0he viva voce %ill +e conducted at the end o&

    'thsemester e"ams and on su+mission o& dissertation. A andidate %ho &ails to su+mit his / her

    dissertation &or an reason has to su+mit the same along %ith su+se#uent +atches or a&ter

    o+taining permission &rom 94D and &acult concerned.

    IV. ATTENDANCE2

    a). A candidate %ho gets :5 and a+ove attendance in each semester shall +e allo%ed &or

    universit e"aminations.

    +) ondonation &or shortage o& attendance ma +e considered in case o& students %ho put in at

    least ;2.5 o& attendance in each semester on recommendation o& 9ead o& the nstitutions$ ma

    also +e allo%ed &or universit e"aminations.

    c). A student %ho could not satis& the a+ove a < + re#uirements shall have to repeat that

    semester again and put in again minimum re#uired attendance then he/she +e allo%ed &or

    universit e"aminations.

    V. PROMOTION

    A student shall +e eligi+le &or promotion to the ne"t semester$ i& he / she satis&ies the

    minimum attendance re#uirements as stipulated in = a < + a+ove$ the semester in %hich he /

    she studied$ irrespective o& his / her results$ provided he / she should register &or the semester end

    universit e"aminations along %ith his / her regular +atch o& students in that semester.

    VI. COMPLETION OF THE COURSE:

    A candidate has to complete the course o& stud o& LL.M Degree %ith an o& the +ranch

    alread chosen %ithin &our ears &rom the date o& his/her admission %ith internal assessment

    marks o+tained during the course o& stud

    VII. 8UESTION PAPER SETTING20

    !). P!6er "e##'%g8 0he universit &or 1 mark semester end e"aminations and the college &or 2

    marks internal assessment shall set the #uestion papers$ as per the scheme o& the e"amination.

    9). Co%$u*# o #e e4!+'%!#'o%8 *emester end e"amination #uestions paper shall +e sent to the

    respective ,rincipal o& the concerned a&&iliated colleges + the controller o& the e"amination and

    the ,rincipal o& the a&&iliated college shall conduct the e"amination as per the schedule given +

    the universit.

    VII. EVALUATION2 00here shall +e internal and e"ternal evaluation. 0he ans%er papers shall

    +e sent to 0he ontroller o& e"amination %ho %ill coordinate the evaluation o& the ans%er paper

    o& semester end universit e"amination o& theor papers.

    a. A candidate appearing &or the &irst time &or the e"amination &or an semester has to

    register &or the %hole e"amination o& that semester

    + A candidate shall +e declared to have passed the %hole (or) a part o& the %hole

    e"aminations i& he (or) she secured not less than ' o& marks in each theor / ,ractical /

    semester end universit e"amination and not less than ' o& marks in internal

    assessment and semester end universit e"amination put together. ,aper %ise pass is

    allo%ed.

    c n case o& dissertation$ the candidate should get ' o& marks in dissertation and an

    aggregate o& ' o& marks in dissertation and vivo6voce put together. A candidate >ho

    could not get pass marks &or dissertation should su+mit the revised dissertation along

    %ith the ne"t +atch o& students in consultation %ith the supervisor

    d. n case o& practical training e"amination the &acult concerned shall evaluate the three

    components o& that paper. 0here shall +e no semester end universit e"amination.

    9o%ever the paper is purel practical hence the student %ill have to undertake the model

    e"ercises and involve himsel& / hersel& in the said three components practicall i.e.$

    i.Research methodolog ii. linical %ork iii La% teaching. A candidate has to participate

    in all the three components and should o+tain ' o& marks. n case o& a candidate

    a+sents &or an o& the three components$ he/she has to take part in all the three

    components again along %ith the su+se#uent +atch o& students o& that semester. *ee

    I3. CLASS:ACATION OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES.

    a. Those who secured 75% of marks and a+ove shall +e placed in @Distinction@.+ 0hose %ho secured ; and a+ove +ut +elo% :5 +e placed in @7irst class@.

    e. 0hose %ho secured 5 and a+ove +ut +elo% ; +e placed in @*econd class@.

    d. 0hose %ho secured' and a+ove +ut +elo% 5 +e placed in 0hird class@.

    e. 0hose %ho passed a&ter completion o& duration o& the coursebe placed in "pass class",

    3. AWARD OF RANKS2

    a) Ranks shall +e a%arded &or the top three students or o& the total strength o& the

    students in a&&iliated colleges %hichever is higher provided the candidate %ho must pass all thesemester end e"aminations in &irst attempt on the +asis o& aggregate marks in all the ' semester

    marks put together.

    +) *upplementar / mprovement candidates are not eligi+le &or the a%ard o& the ranks.

    3I. IMPROV EMENT2

    0he candidates are permitted to improve their marks in one or more theor papers o& an

    semester as per the regulations and the slla+us in &orce. & the candidate &ails to improve the

    marks$ original marks stands. 0here is no provision &or improving the marks o& dissertation. 0he

    candidate shall +e permitted to improve their marks %ithin the period o& 1 semesters$ &rom thedate o& his/her admission into &irst semester.

    3II. CONDITIONS FOR THE AWARD OF THE DEGREE2

    A candidate &or the a%ard o& the LLM (Research) Degree %ith the +ranch alread chosen

    at the time o& admission shall +e re#uired to satis& the &ollo%ing conditions8

    a. 0he program o& stud &or the LL.M (Research Degree) shall cover normall a period o&t%o academic ears comprising o& ' semesters.

    +. o students shall +e permitted to complete the course o& stud o& LL.M Degree earlier

    than ' semesters or to take not more than 1 semesters. 7ailing %hich he / she shall &or&eithis/ her seat in LL.M.

    3III. RESIDUARY2
