The Valiant 47 is a Bob Perry design built with short-handed sailing in mind, and is a joy to sail. Two of the first three solo nonstop circum- navigations were done on Valiant 47s in only 230 days. Ponderosa is set up with in-mast furling and roller furling for both the head and stay sail for easy handling. The primary sails are built by Schattauer and are in excellent condition. The spacious interior comprises of two comfort- able staterooms, two heads both with separate showers, a large salon with fold-down table and a conveniently located galley, great for entertaining. The interior woods are the finest teak, ash and spruce with a custom teak cover over the mast that completes the warm and inviting interior.
