Changes in 5th year WP and strategies

Major shift in focus by bringing the woredas in the forefront of implementation

Bank accounts opened for each woreda

Agreement signed with MM woreda others to follow

The agreement entails changes in the role of coordinators and experts:

The role of coordinators changes more to mentoring and following up

SWHISA experts’ roles also change; Team-based mentoring as opposed to individual based mentoring

New processes to work with (IADP, WRMP, as well as ADSWE)

BPR almost complete

Addendum Fully integrated (most activities already addressed)

A better approach followed in the Preparation of the plan; undertaking mandate and Gap analysis in the PI processes

Generally the strategic direction established in the 2008-09 work plan will be pursued and builds upon the progress already achieved.

The emphasis is on consolidation,

to ensure successes achieved are rooted in the activities and programs of PIs and woredas, and

to respond to priority gaps as a result of revised mandates due to BPR.
