Eiffel Tower Experience

($11.50/adult, day; $16.50 from 7:15 p.m. – close)

Whether with your girlfriends or significant other, the

Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas offers a breathtaking

view of the Strip, the Las Vegas Valley and the

beautiful Bellagio fountains from 460 feet up. Half

the size of the original, the Vegas Eiffel Tower offersan observation deck and glass elevators just like the

original, so guests can enjoy the view to the top.

Las Vegas Sign (Free)

The ultimate symbol of Las Vegas since 1959 has

been the iconic Vegas sign – it was added to the

National Register of Historic Places in 2009. You

know the one. Located on the Strip just south of

Russell Road, a parking lot makes it easy for visitors

to stop and snap a photo in front of the sign for an

unforgettable free souvenir.

Mr. Lucky’s $7.77 Special

($7.77 with Player’s Club Card)

The Gambler’s Special at Mr. Lucky’s in the Hard

Rock Hotel serves up steak, grilled shrimp, potato or

broccoli and a salad. While you won’t find it on the

menu, it’s available any time, day or night. Just ask

for “Mr. Lucky’s $7.77 Special.”

Gondola Ride ($18.95/person)

Pretend you’re in Venice for 15 glorious minutes as you

ride through the canals inside the Venetian (or outside

if you choose) while being serenaded in Italian by your

gondolier.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts

($19/13 years and up; 12 and under are free)

The Gallery features world-class exhibits of art and

other objects from international museums and privatecollections. Exhibits have included work from the likes

of artists anywhere from Monet to Andy Warhol.

Bellagio Conservatory (Free)

Every year, 5 million visitors enjoy the Bellagio

Conservatory for its floral extravaganza of five

horticultural shows, which change with the seasons.

These “floral theatrical productions take months of

work and an army of talented people, plus a colorful

cast of players – here thousands of flowers, trees

and plants – to pull off.”

Siegfried and Roy’s

Secret Garden/Dolphin Habitat

($19.95/adult; $14.95/children)

For one price, guests can experience exotic animals

both on land and in water at The Mirage. The garden

exhibit showcases white tigers, lions and leopards

in a lush setting. Not your typical zoo cats, these

animals sport amazing fur colors and crystal blue

eyes. Then don’t miss the adorable dolphins frolicking

in 2.1 million gallons of water. You might even catch

one “tail-walking” across the water.

Shrimp Cocktail

at Golden Gate ($2.99)

The Golden Gate introduced the shrimp

cocktail in 1959, and the tradition continues

to this day. Du-Par’s restaurant serves up the

staple cocktail in a tulip glass with its secret

cocktail sauce and fresh lemon.

World’s Largest

Permanent Circus (Free)

 Jugglers, unicyclists, trapeze artists and

acrobats delight visitors with their death

defying stunts and antics at Circus Circus.

Each show, between 11 a.m. and midnight,

lasts about 10 minutes, and guests usually

arrive 15 minutes before showtime. There’s

also carnival games steps away for those

who want to try their luck.

Big Apple Coaster at

New York-New York ($14)

The Big Apple Coaster is surrounded by

a replica of New York harbor, a 150-foot

model of the Statue of Liberty and some of

Manhattan’s most iconic buildings. To make

things even more authentic, coaster cars are

designed to look like taxi cabs. Riders get

a great view of the Strip, along with loops,

corkscrews and hills at speeds up to 67 miles

per hour.

There’s no shortage of entertainment in Vegas, especially if money is no object.

Between restaurants, shows, gaming and shopping, the dollar signs can add up quickly.

However, you can find plenty to do without blowing the budget. Here’s a list of activities

from iconic to delicious — all for $20 and under per person. Some are even free!

International TrophyPresented by Jim Arns, Melodeers Chorus, #3

The first International Champion Chorus trophy was retired in 1995. Designed by the Balfour Company, it repre-sented Sweet Adelines International’s continuing efforts to Harmonize The World. The traveling trophy, 1973 –1995, was first presented to the Racine (Wisconsin) Chorus, directed by Jarmela Speta. It is now at InternationalHeadquarters. Currently, a new trophy is presented each year and is retained by the winning chorus.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a voluntary nonprofit association that

acts as a clearinghouse for performing rights licensing. Since 1962, ASCAP has honored our organization bypresenting an individual trophy to the director of the International Champion Chorus.

he following list denotes the year and location of the convention, the name and home state(s)/country of the champion quartet

and the name, region, location and director of the champion chorus and Division A and AA choruses. International chorus

contests began in 1973. Harmony Classic chorus contests began in 2000.

Note: In 1993, the Sweet Adelines International and Coronet Club boards of directors agreed that the International quartet and chorus champions are more aptly designated bythe calendar year in which they primarily hold their titles rather than the year in which they win their titles. Tus, there are no “1993 International Champions.” At this year’s2015 International competitions, the quartet and chorus winners become the 2016 International Champions.
