Rationale for Proposed Catalyst Site Expansion

With more than half of the existing Catalyst site developed, and only 60 acres available which is owned by Suwannee County there is a serious need to expand the Catalyst site, for access to the much needed assistance from the State of Florida for infrastructure improvements, incentives for job creation and to remain competitive in the region.

There are over 10,000 acres available for potential development for industrial, warehousing, manufacturing and logistics sites.

The I-10/HWY 90 interchange has 2 large parcels, one 100 acres – north side and 77 acres –south side of the interchange. These sites are prime sites. Both sites have rail access, natural gas and fiber, however no water lines. Water lines could be extended from the existing Catalyst site, the distance is approx. 9000 linear feet and an estimated cost of $1.1 mil.
