As part of the market rollout of BMW i – the sustainable and visionary sub-brand from BMW – the exclusive Austrian natural cosmetics brand Susanne Kaufmann is developing the innovative product concept “Purif-i“. Purif-i is a hand tonic with an entirely new combination of active ingredients: it sanitizes the hands without drying them out and also nourishes and cares for them intensively. The product Purif-i is based on exclusively natural ingredients, with different properties that enhance each other. Die BMW i target group - modern, urban, sustainably-minded people – is permanently in search of products that make life in big cities easier on the one hand while pampering them and simultaneously minimizing environmental impact on the other. And that is precisely what Purif-i delivers, because it is composed entirely of herbal extracts and a combination of intelligent, superactive single substances. With the aid of alcohol extracts from plants it has an intensive disinfectant effect, while caring for the hands with liquid silk proteins and protecting them from drying out. Since it requires no water or a towel, it can be used anywhere and anytime. Susanne Kaufmann and BMW i decided on this joint venture because both brands are following the same philosophy and thus appeal to identical target groups. Both brands are key in implementing the vision of a sustainable future where environmental compatibility, individual freedom and luxury are not conflicting aims. This cooperation between a natural cosmetics manufacturer and the innovative BMW i mobility brand is breaking new ground and making it clear that far from being in conflict, nature and technology can enhance each other most effectively. Purif-i will be presented to the press and selected customers in October and November of this year in New York, Berlin and Hong Kong. In New York the BMW Guggenheim Lab is being made available specially for the purpose. A panel discussion chaired by Jane Larkworthy (Beauty Editor of W) will focus on the topic of „New Paths“ in sustainability marketing. In Berlin, „New Paths“ will be examined from the artistic aspect. Tiefschwarz will be enveloping the product in a „Sound Cloud“. And Hong Kong will be focusing on the topic of retail. How? We’re not letting on just yet. Price: 14 Euro (75ml), now on sale in stores – or order online at www.susannekaufmann.com

BMW i and SUSANNE KAUFMANN are on New Paths.

As part of the market rollout of BMW i – the sustainable and visionary sub-brand from BMW – the

exclusive Austrian natural cosmetics brand Susanne Kaufmann is developing the innovative product

concept “Purif-i“. Purif-i is a hand tonic with an entirely new combination of active ingredients: it

sanitizes the hands without drying them out and also nourishes and cares for them intensively. The

product Purif-i is based on exclusively natural ingredients, with different properties that enhance

each other.

Die BMW i target group - modern, urban, sustainably-minded people – is permanently in search of

products that make life in big cities easier on the one hand while pampering them and

simultaneously minimizing environmental impact on the other. And that is precisely what Purif-i

delivers, because it is composed entirely of herbal extracts and a combination of intelligent,

superactive single substances. With the aid of alcohol extracts from plants it has an intensive

disinfectant effect, while caring for the hands with liquid silk proteins and protecting them from

drying out. Since it requires no water or a towel, it can be used anywhere and anytime.

Susanne Kaufmann and BMW i decided on this joint venture because both brands are following the

same philosophy and thus appeal to identical target groups. Both brands are key in implementing

the vision of a sustainable future where environmental compatibility, individual freedom and luxury

are not conflicting aims. This cooperation between a natural cosmetics manufacturer and the

innovative BMW i mobility brand is breaking new ground and making it clear that far from being in

conflict, nature and technology can enhance each other most effectively.

Purif-i will be presented to the press and selected customers in October and November of this year

in New York, Berlin and Hong Kong. In New York the BMW Guggenheim Lab is being made available

specially for the purpose. A panel discussion chaired by Jane Larkworthy (Beauty Editor of W) will

focus on the topic of „New Paths“ in sustainability marketing. In Berlin, „New Paths“ will be

examined from the artistic aspect. Tiefschwarz will be enveloping the product in a „Sound Cloud“.

And Hong Kong will be focusing on the topic of retail. How? We’re not letting on just yet.

BMW i

BMW i stands for visionary vehicles and mobility services, inspirational design, and a new definition

of premium that is based powerfully on sustainability. With BMW i the BMW Group is taking a

holistic approach: tailored vehicle concepts, sustainability across the entire value-added chain plus

supplementary mobility services make BMW i the new definition of individual mobility. Market

rollout of the BWM i3 and BMW i8 is planned for 2013/2014. While the BMW i3 will have a purely

electric drive, making it perfect for towns and cities, the interplay of electric motor and combustion

engine in the BMW i8 plugin-hybrid will guarantee highly dynamic propulsion.
