MARCHESI ANTINORI CHIANTI CLASSICO CELLARS  Family-owned facility in Bargino, Italy showcases the family's 625+ year history in wines, food and art  For centuries Marchesi Antinori, the family-owned Italian wine company, has helped shape Italy’s wine industry and culture. Since 1385, their strong ties and development to the arts has included painting, sculpture, architecture, and the art of transforming fruits of the earth into fine wine.  Last year the family launched a revolutionary, state-of-the-art facility: Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Cellars in Bargino, Italy. Recently, the winery added a Tuscan restaurant, Rinuccio 1180, and an exciting new contemporary art installation.  The family’s incredible legacy is a testament to their ingenuity, innovation, and vision for creating the highest quality wines, and undoubtedly, why they remain one of the most recognized and beloved wine brands in the world.  About Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico CellarsThe new property offers locals and visitors the opportunity to look into the company’s 26-generation history and get a glimpse of its future through a multi-faceted 67,000 square-foot property that includes a winery, restaurant, auditorium, wine shop, library and visitors center. Located 20 minutes outside of Florence and 30 minutes outside of Siena, this is a must-see attraction.    The groundbreaking winery marks the first time in Antinori’s illustrious history that visitors are able experience the family’s winemaking process first-hand, learn about the family’s history, and view the family’s prized, centuries-old art collection.  The Antinori family worked with one of Italy’s leading architects, Marco Casamonti, founder of the Archea Associati studio, to develop extraordinary architecture hidden amongst the olive groves, vineyards and oak trees. The Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Cellar is literally built within a hillside covered with vines and serves as a temple dedicated to wine, but above all, an homage to the Tuscan landscape.

The Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Cellars is open seven days a week to the public by admission.  About Rinuccio 1180The Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Cellar houses Rinuccio 1180, a restaurant named after Rinuccio di Antinori who, in 1180, was the first recorded Antinori family member to make wine. His namesake restaurant pays homage to the beginning of the Antinori wine legacy.  Chef Matteo Gambi was hand-picked from his post at Osteria di Passignano, a Michelin-star rated restaurant that was co-founded by Allegra Antinori. Using his culinary expertise and experience, Chef Gambi has curated a tasteful menu for Rinuccio 1180 that highlights traditional dishes and products from the Chianti region. The restaurant, which can seat 60-100 people daily (depending on the season), is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  New Art InstallationsWithin the Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Cellars is a museum housing a historic collection from the Palazzo Antinori alongside site-specific works from internationally known contemporary artists Yona Friedman, Rosa Barba, and Jean-Baptiste Decavèle. As of January 2014, the family museum has further enriched its offerings with a new exhibition curated by Marco De Michelis. The inclusion of art from the family’s collection projects a rich history and artistic tradition side-by-side with the contemporary world by introducing the works of Patrick Tuttofuoco and Diego Perrone in a series called, “Phantoms and Ears in the Cellars.” The acclaimed artists, Patrick Tuttofuoco and Diego Perrone, display their installations inside the two “Iconostasi” structures, originally created by artist Yona Friedman and which occupy the two inner courtyards of the new winery.

Sugar Beach Residences, St. Luciawww.sugarbeachresidences.com

St. Lucia is an enchanting island centrally located in the Windward Island chain in the Eastern Caribbean Sea. As part of the Lesser Antilles, this tropical destination is positioned between Martinique and St. Vincent. There are many developments in St. Lucia, from the prestigious Cap Estate in the north of the island down to the east and west coast; however, between the magnificent Val des Pitons, part of only 180 natural UNESCO World Heritage Sites worldwide, there is just one - The Residences at Sugar Beach.

Designed by world-renowned Caribbean architect Lane Pettigrew Associates, The Residences at Sugar Beach are a collection of 38 exclusive two to six bedroom properties, all just steps away from the water’s edge with stunning views of the Pitons, rainforest and Caribbean Sea. Prices for the Residences range from $2.5 million to $9 million.

Located on the site of an original eighteenth century plantation, the development of Sugar Beach brings new life and prosperity to this part of the island. The remains of some of the original structures and machinery have been incorporated into the development plan and can still be seen on the grounds today. Due to the fragile nature of the rainforest location, every aspect of the development has taken the environment into consideration, with sustainability and conservation as fundamentalcriteria in development decisions. Where possible, Sugar Beach uses locally sourced products and work with the neighboring communities to ensure everything, from the materials used to the produce within the restaurants, is of the highest international standards whilst still being directly connected to the island itself.
