While in my original designs I had the idea of giving The Patcman a permanent unnatural grin, I do like the subtley creepy blank, indifferent look which this drawing has. I’m also fond of the way the hand, which is made of flesh juxtaposes with the clearly artificial fabric of the Patchman’s skin.

One of the more abstract drawings I received, This depicts the Patchman as being entirely human. I like the use of shadows in this which create an eerie feel to an otherwise normal face.

I also like the trench coat made up of patches. However I don’t think I will incorporate the sack into my final design as I prefer to leave it ambiguous as to what The Patchman does with children.

One of the few colour drawings I received, This one is a very cartoony design. I’m not overly fond of the colourful nature of it but I do like the patches which act as eyes.

This design is the most gruesomely explicit. I do like the grimy, dirty feel this Patchman has along with the strange fingers. However, I do think that the severed heads are a little over the top.

Another abstract design, this is one of the most unique designs I received. I like the long, slender fingers that almost drip from the body which I will incorporate into my final design. Another aspect of this drawing I plan on including in my final Patchman design is the blank staring eyes.
