CORE (Cone-beam Reconstruction) method which is the Hitachi's unique 3D reconstruction algorithm optimize the range of acquisition data to be reconstructed. By uti l iz ing the data across the whole detector effectively, the good quality image with less artifact can be obtained even by the high-pitch scan.

CORE satisfies both of High-Speed Scan and High Image Quality

Supr ia 64 achieves the high -speed scan with the pitch of 1.58 due to its 40mm width detector and Hitachi's unique 3D reconstruction algorithm - CORE method. Therefore, it enables to scan chest area of 320mm at 4.5sec, thoraco- abdominal area of 570mm at 7.5 sec. Burden on the patients who have difficulty to keep the position or hold a breath for a long-time is decreased.

Supria 64 realizes the high-speed whole-body scan with sub-millimeter slice, which is difficult to achieve by 16slice CT system. With one breath-holding (about 14sec.), high-resolution image in the range of 1,100mm or more* can be obtained. Therefore, it realizes MPR image with wide range and high resolution as a routine examination.

Regardless of the FOV which is set before scan, Supria 64 acquires full FOV data (500mm) and retains at any time. Even in case the patient body is away from the FOV, like a patient with hunched position, the lost portion can be recovered not by re-scan but only re-calculation if the portion is within the maximum FOV.

It is possible to reduce the motion artifact for the patient who has difficulty to keep a position without re-scan.

The tube current is optimized in a 3D direction (X-Y-Z) based on information on the size of the patient obtained from scanogram and preset target SD. This allows producing images at a constant noise level, which does not vary depending on the scan region and enables scanning in which a trade-off of image quality and exposure is taken into consideration.

Advanced no ise reduct ion funct ion i s incorporated, which is expected to reduce noise and improve the image qual i t y by t h e techn ique based on the " i terat i ve reconstruction technology". It realizes the bare minimum of radiation dose and the high image quality with less artifacts both. There are 7 levels of intensity to meet the dose reduction level in line with the operation policy of each hospital.

The importance of managing the patients dose information has been increased more than ever. It is required to have the function which transfers the dose information to PACS system. Simple Dose Report can save the data as the secondary capture and send to PACS. Also, DICOM Dose SR sends the dose information to PACS as a structured report.

More SimplicityRealize the Simplicity - Installation and Operation

Hitachi reviews the efficiency of the installation environment of CT system. Supria 64 is the 64ch CT system, but only 3 units composition* of gantry, patient table, and console. It allows the user to utilize the space of CT room efficiently. In case of standard size of patient table, it can be installed at the space used for a conventional single slice CT. Thanks to the compact design and the power capacity of 75kVA, it reduces the burden of room renovation or electric works.

All the necessary information is displayed on the 24-inch monitor. In addition, the dedicated buttons for scan are placed just above the keyboard. Compared with 2-monitor console, it provides the compact operation environment.

Expandability

Analyze the cerebral blood flow based on 3 types of perfusion maps - CBF, CBV, and MTT. Due to the Hitachi's unique noise reduction filter, high precision of analysis can be achieved even with the low dose.

Extract the colon area from the abdominal CT images and display 3D image or virtual colonoscopic image. ROI (Region of Interest) can be shown in color with the shape analysis filter.
