Supports Biomolecule Analysis Shimadzu Corporation introduces Nexera Bio System as the next member of the Shimadzu Nexera XR UHPLC product family. With four dedicated metal-free components delicately engineered and installed, the Nexera Bio System is capable of maintaining the maximum mobile phase delivery capacity at 66 MPa. With LabSolutions, LCs and GCs can be operated via the same interface. Up to 4 LC and/or GC systems can be controlled simultaneously on a single PC. Instrument information of up to 16 systems can be registered in a single PC, allowing the system to be switched between LC or GC systems connected to the network.

Ruggedness TestingAll non-metallic parts of the Nexera Bio system underwent 20,000 stress-injection tests to access its physical condition, robustness and performance. The results showed that all parts were in perfect physical condition, with no corrosion and precipitation observed.

System administration features including system policy, user administration, log browser, and audit trail, are provided to assist users in FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. This can be supported and configurable on a stand-alone workstation as well as in a network environment. In addition, automatic registration of PDF files can be generated by LabSolutions as a standard function into the database, thus creating paperless operations in an analytical laboratory.

All customised non-metallic components proved to be in perfect condition

LabSolutions’ instrument operating status monitor allows the operatorto check the operating status of connected systems, as well as thescheduled analysis end times of each instrument. Even if multiple LCand GC systems are operating at the same time, the operating statuscan be observed at a glance. This will be useful for scheduling dataacquisition to effectively minimize instrument downtime.
