Housing 400 Initiative
Purpose To provide financing for at least 400 independent and
supportive living apartments for persons with disabilities with incomes at or below 30% of median
Units must be affordable to persons on Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
General Assembly allocated $10.9 million to the Housing Trust Fund (for NCHFA) for rental housing development and $1.2 million to NC Dept of Health and Human Services for operating subsidy
