Wow, it’s July already! I hope you’re all enjoying summer. It’s hard to believe that it has been a month since our Super Regional in Vancouver with JP Koster. Meet Emma Roca of Mannatech’s® Global Scientific Advisory Board

Meet Emma Roca, the female powerhouse on Mannatech’s Global Scientific Advisory Board (GSAB). She is

currently finishing her PhD in Biochemistry with an emphasis on the biochemical, physiological, genetic

and cardiac impacts of mountain running.

She has been an elite athlete for more than 20 years, competing around the world in adventure racing,

ultra-distance running and long distance triathlons. Roca is passionate about discovering and

understanding the effects of sports on the body’s metabolism. She is studying what the body needs in

order to be the most healthy as it relates to sports.

Roca decided to accept the invitation to join Mannatech’s GSAB because she believes in the company’s

M5M Update

I had an incredible time at MannaFest getting to share about M5M! We have such an amazing mission and being able to partner with

you on this journey is an honor.

Tax Alert: New Brunswick 2% HST increase

New Brunswick has increased its HST by 2%, effective July 1, 2016, resulting in an HST rate of 15%.

Mannatech partners with others to bring a glimmer of light & hope.

May 19, 2016 18 women and 1 brave man joined them and left Brampton, Ontario for the Bronx! Mission: to

bring a glimmer of light and hope to the women living in Franklin Women’s Shelter.

When we arrived in the Bronx we were joined by a group of local women from Church of the Revelation, Bronx,

NY.

Arriving at the shelter there was a darkness that overtakes you as you walk in the front door. Security and police

are there to greet you. Once through the entrance process we walked through the massive halls to the main

meeting area. It is a huge, old armory. There we invited the women to come and join us in the dinning/meeting

area.

The team opened with enthusiastic Zumba. It drew the women to watch and many participated. Over the course

of the evening the choir sang, testimonies were shared and there was an opportunity for our team to share one

on one. At the end of the evening we shared a snack and soda with the women.

On the second day we returned to work. A group of men also joined us. The men took the project of painting the

outside fences. The assignment for our team of women: brighten those long massive hallways. The team was

broken into small groups. Each group was given a sketch of what their wall would look like finished. The day went

by quickly. The team did a great job as words of encouragement where placed for the women of the shelter to be

encouraged as they walk the halls. The day ended as we had another gathering with Zumba, choir, and

testimonies. The defining moment came as we asked these women to come forward and allow us to wash their

feet and pray for them. These women don’t trust, due to life. It was amazing to see how quickly they got up and

moved. It was a powerful time. It was also very humbling for our team. People talked about the love of God, it

was seen in action.

The third day a bus arrived at the shelter to bring the waiting women to the church. Our team was ready and

waiting. Thanks to the products donated by Mannatech and others we were able to give each women a facial, fix

their makeup, hair, and nails. The day ended as the women walked the runaway. Their faces had changed from

darkness to smiles and laughter. Each woman left that day with a beautiful cosmetic bag, candle, lotion, personal

items and a new outfit.

We are thankful to all our donors that made it possible for us to bless these women and give a light in their dark

time.
