LENTEN PRAYER
Almighty and ever living God, you invite us deeper into your
world, your people, your Lent.
May this time be one of outward focus; seeking You in those
we often ignore.
Help us live a Lent focused on freedom, generosity, and
encounter.
Give us hearts hungry to serve You and those who need what
we have to give.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
“We are a single flock under the care of a single shepherd.
There can be no separate Church for persons with
disabilities.” (United States Council of Catholic Bishops) In
what ways do I recognize the gifts and talents of persons with
disabilities and how can I ensure they are welcomed and
included in our parish and community?
What ways do we recognize the gifts and talents of persons
with disabilities and how can we ensure they are welcomed
and included in our parish and community?

A NOTE REGARDING CORONA VIRUS
There is no diocesan directive at this moment, however,
Bishop Brennan suggests some of the following measures:
If you are ill or even are experiencing symptoms of illness, you
are not obliged to attend Mass and in a spirit of charity should
not attend Mass.
Take proper measures to practice good hygiene.
Exercise good judgment regarding coughing, sneezing, shaking
hands and keeping surfaces clean.
There is no need at this time for a diocesan directive to suspend
or limit reception of the Precious Blood from the chalice.
However, if you’re ill you should not take the cup.
Likewise, while the customary sign for Greeting of Peace is a
handshake, it is not the only expression. Individuals may choose
simply to turn to those around them saying, “peace be with you.”
WELCOME NEW CHILD OF GOD
Congratulations and welcome to Joshua Renicker Jr., son of
Joshua Renicker, who was baptized last Saturday at Holy Trinity.
MANY THANKS
Thanks to all the women who participated in the women’s retreat
“Know Chocolate for Lent” last Saturday. We were blest with
community, sharing, conversation, inspiration, faith, food, a movie,
and of course chocolate! Thanks to the Catholic Foundation grant
that helped fund the retreat.
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES COLLECTION
Next week, we take up the Catholic Relief Services Collection.
Your support gives aid to victims of persecution and natural
disasters, provides legal services to poor immigrants, and advocates
for the powerless. Through your generosity, six catholic agencies
help Jesus disguised as the vulnerable refugee, the immigrant
family, and the poor and marginalized. Prayerfully consider
contributing to the collection.
