Children’s Camp - A Checklist • Children’s Camp is offered for children ages 4 – 12. • Classes are from 9:45 am to 3:00 pm. Please be through registration and have children at the children’s center by 9:30 am. • The camps end at 3:00 pm. Please pick up your child by 3:15 pm. Take a run with your child to see their improvement before the mountain closes at 4:00. • Discounted lift tickets and rental equipment are available at registration. • If you are renting equipment from the SnowSports School, we will take care of fitting your children. • Free escorted bus service for children’s camp is offered at both River Run and Dollar Mountain daily. Sun Valley SnowSports School elevates the art of teaching youngsters. Our Children’s Camp instructors offer children the opportunity to build confidence, establish strong core skills, achieve a sense of accomplishment and enjoy camaraderie, all while having fun.

Baldy Adventure Camp*

Intermediate to expert skiers and riders ages 6 to 12 will improve their skills on the world-famous Bald Mountain. These groups enjoy safe skiing and riding on more challenging terrain. Classes begin and end at River Run Lodge. Supervision is provided from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

* All Children’s Camps include lunch. Discount lift tickets and rental equipment can be added to any package. Supervised bus transfer is available from River Run Plaza to Dollar Mountain. Check your child in at River Run by 9:15 a.m. and we will transfer them to and from Dollar Mountain. Classes run from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please allow at least one half hour before class for registration and rental processing. Late arrivals may not be admitted to class. Class sizes vary and increase in size during peak season.

dollar Mountain Cubs and Bears*

Held on Dollar Mountain, the Cubs and Bears program is the perfect introduction for children ages 4 to 12 to learn how to ski or ride. Dollar Mountain maintains its reputation as one of the premier teaching mountains in the country. Sound fundamentals are emphasized in an enthusiastic, energetic atmosphere. Supervision is provided at our child friendly, secure Children’s Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily

dollar Mountain miniCubs{NEW}

For our youngest guests, the new miniCubs program introduces skiing to children under 4. The hour and one-half curriculum starts your child on the way to a lifetime of snow sports fun. Class size is limited to three. Offered mornings and afternoons.

T.A.P. (Teen Adventure Program)

Intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 13 to 18 will take their skills to the next level while exploring Baldy with our instructors. Teens in this program ski or ride the coolest terrain, hit the bumps and much, much more. Classes are offered from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. during peak season.

KinderCare: Big Fun for Little Kids

Perfect for youngsters (ages 3 months to 5 years) who aren’t quite ready for a full day of skiing or would like a day off from the slopes. Our KinderCare program provides child care with fun options such as an introductory group ski lesson and non-skiing activities such as bowling, ice skating and more. Children’s Instruction: The Fun Comes Naturally

Mountain Masters

Join other intermediate to advanced skiers for an all-mountain five morning per week ski experience. Our top-level instructors provide you with the tools to master all that Bald Mountain has to offer be it bumps, powder or cruising. Join us for the day or the season. Offered weekdays January – March.

Masters Race

Available by the day, week or season, Master Race is designed to improve current racers skills and introduce intermediate to advanced skiers to the excitement of racing. Whether you are training to compete or want to improve your skiing in a fun, challenging way, this program is for you. Coached by former US Ski Team members and international competitors, this program attracts some of the best skiers in the area. Offered January – April.

Spuds

For children of all levels, the Sun Valley SnowSports School offers three sessions of Spuds SnowSports Camp on both Baldy and Dollar. Open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade throughout Idaho! Each 3-week session will have morning and afternoon options available. Group sizes are limited, so sign up early. Snowboard instruction is available for children 6 years and older only.

FreeRide TeamOffered for kids 6 though high school, the FreeRide Team provides non-competitive training for skiers and snowboarders. The high quality, high-energy ski and snowboard team focuses on skills development for the fun of the sport. The all-mountain, all-conditions concept includes Saturdays on Baldy and Sunday in the terrain park and half pipe along with non-competitive race gates. Open to skiers and riders intermediate and above. Offered Saturday & Sunday mornings December – March. Helmets recommended.

Whether you have never put on a pair of boots before or are looking to ski or ride the bumps better, the Sun Valley SnowSports School has the group for you. Our professional staff of SnowSports School instructors will steer you into the class best suited to your ability level.

Private Instruction: design Your Own Learning

Experience

Private lessons on Dollar or Bald Mountain are available every day of the week and ensure special attention for an epic Sun Valley experience. Private lesson participants enjoy priority lift access and morning lessons offer first track early ups. You may request a specific instructor or have our supervisors select the right instructor based on your goals. Private lessons allow up to five people in the party. Advanced reservations are available for three hour and all-day lessons.Telemark skiing instruction is available with advance reservation.

A Family Affair You and your family can build your own unique all-day lesson experience with one of our instructors. Maybe the kids want to learn some basic skills in the new Terrain Park in the morning. Mom isn’t into jibbing, but would like to take a few turns before lunch, and Dad wants to improve his technique after lunch. Then take a few late afternoon practice runs as a family with the instructor. One day, one price, one instructor, great value, good times!

Tiny Tracks

Specialized private instruction is available for children ages 2 to 4. Either with or without a parent, these one-hour private lessons make skiing a fun and positive experience. Our instructors place your child on the right track to enjoying a lifetime of snow sports. Reservations requested.

Reservations

Advance reservations are recommended for all Sun Valley SnowSports School private lessons throughout the winter season. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended during the December Holiday and Presidents’ Day weeks.

”Elevate” (Intermediate and Advanced)

Ready to take your skiing or riding to the next level? Our group lessons on Baldy offer training on the more challenging terrain in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Whether you are looking to carve up the groomer, master the bumps or just gain confidence on our world famous terrain, we will find the group that is right for you. Two-hour classes are offered twice daily at 10:30 am or 1:30pm at the River Run Lodge.
