What is Skiing? Skiing is a popular sport that is enjoyed

world wide by groups ranging from young children to actual olympic skiers. Participants strap skis, or long boards with curved tips, to each booted foot and use them, along with ski poles, to glide down snow-covered mountains.

Why Skiing is Great! There are lots of things about skiing I

really like

Why Skiing lessons are important.

Everyone should take skiing lessons. Beginner ski instruction has little to do with one’s physical shape, athleticism, or weight.

The first day you’ll focus on stopping and turning. A good instructor can show you fundamental ski techniques quickly and easily that will get you off to a great start

Risks of injury In alpine skiing, there are around three

injuries per thousand skiing days. Knee injuries are most common, but broken bones and death are possible.

Wear a Ski helmet to reduce the risk of any injury, They are now in common use amongst all classes and ages.

The first ski was found in Sweden in a bog which dates back to 2500 or 4500 B.C
